The gear making all that dingle is indicating to me toe wear on the aggressive side buddy boys. Feller guys. I love the channel just throwing out a tweak idea. im sure the machin can carry an extra half ton on its ass no problem and that puts even wear on all your bogies and drives. Dave From NOVA SCOTIA!!! If I had somewhere to put it, I'd have one in a shot too! It is an absolute animal when it comes to skid steers. there was nothing she wouldn't do. • There are times when you will need to redirect the pulling force upward (to avoid plowing the stuck vehicle in deeper). You guys have been in that situation multiple times. A high-end rotator has a crane that can elevate the pulling angle. You may have seen people run a winch cable over a tire. You might want to consider constructing a portable, adjustable stand (tripod or similar design) with a pulley that the cable can run over in these situations. I'm sure you could figure out a good design.

    • I bet they could make an attachment for the smaller skid steer that's like a giant pulley for the cable to ride over the top. That way they have something portable

      @MOB-Lee@MOB-LeeАй бұрын
    • @@MOB-Lee The smaller skid steer is Robby Layton's. Your point is still valid, but my thinking was around something that would enable the pulling force to be redirected upward without having to bring another machine. They could design something out of heavy walled tubing that can be assembled and disassembled easily for portability, yet be strong and stable. The base would need enough footprint to not sink in the mud out on muddy lake beds.

    • @@Eargesplitten-Loudenboomer That setup is a mostly stock Case DL550 Minotaur. Not an "average" skid by any stretch of the imagination. It weights 18000 before they put the winch box on it. That's more than twice the weight of most "average" 74 hp skid steers.

      @Caimen0@Caimen0Ай бұрын
    • @@Eargesplitten-Loudenboomer You must be living in a Quarry or something, with massive mining equipment that that skid feels average to you. Skids were designed to be nimble compact vehicles. As such most are quite small and light as far as self-powerd machinery goes. This thing is out there, on the upper end. Most skids are mostly cabin in terms of volume. The cabin on this one looks miniscule in between the massive engine, big tracks and solid arms. It's not for nothing, Case calls it a compact dozer, instead of a skid loader... It's very similar to the TV620B which is the biggest and most powerful real skid loader in the entire world. (in fact i think they are the same chassis, just different loadout and controls) Bobcat biggest skid (T870) only weighs 12 thousand pounds..
