It’s actually quite the nice conversation these two have before their fight… Always something I enjoy seeing when two characters have a story of their own. I can’t believe that these two have more meaningful dialogue together than any entire support between two characters in engage either. Thanks for showing Joshua vs Caellach, and Cormag vs Valter. This chapter feels like the climax of these two men’s story.
Joshua's storyline always makes me prefer Eirika's route. Tbf, I've never actually played Ephraim's route yet, but I've read about it and it doesn't seem like anything all that notable happens there. The only important things on Ephraim's route are revealed shortly after the routes rejoin anyway, but if you don't do Eirika's route you never learn about Joshua's backstory and that he's the final royalty member.
