    • They usually have the kill-switch break-away (often a magnet) attached to a lanyard the rider is supposed to secure to their wrist or jacket! (But it's hard to fix 'stupid'!)

    • First week of snow and ice in the Netherlands apparently resulted in 133 visits to the ER with injuries (they don't register bumps and bruises obviously). When it lasts longer you ussually get fatalities mainly from people who go ice-skating on lakes, break the ice, then drown. Because while every non-idiot here can swim, swimming in subzero temperatures AND surviving being wet in those conditions is a very different story.

  • Snow/winter fails are probably my least favorite genre of fail since 90% are the same thing: someone trying to do a trick on a ski-jump and crashing, or simply falling down on skis or ice-skates. Thank you for including a bit more in this collection, made it worth while to watch.

  • If I do go skiing this year, I watch this video as a reminder to never do anything stupid at high speed. You can get away with doing stupid things at relatively slow speed.

  • I'm still not quite sure FailArmy understand what a 'Fail' actually is. People diving into snow with the intention of flailing around and (by virtue of physics) barely moving forwards or not moving forwards at all does NOT constitute a 'Fail'! That exact outcome is literally what they intend to happen! In fact, a fail in those circumstances would technically be them magically propelling themselves forward perfectly in the same way they would underwater! 😂

    • @@mr.voidroy6869 Have you ever fallen in snow? It can be as hard as concrete, especially if the top layer has thawed very slightly then refrozen into ice. It's no picnic to fall on which is why people wear helmets when doing winter sports. I fell once while skiing and, even though I had a helmet on, gave myself a fairly serious concussion from falling on the snow which was packed as hard as ice pellets.

    • @LauraS1 I fall like 10 times a day on pro line jumps. I have minor padding. But I regularly fall 10 feet into snow. I just know how to fall correctly. Ofc I'm not hitting the jumps when it'd icy I'm not stupid.

  • I was thinking that some people had better check first if their friend lying face down in the snow was hurt, before laughing. I also think some people should stay far away from water and thin ice. Incredible how many can't see when water isn't frozen real solid.
