    • Not really...as you could see. There was no depth to Wozniacki's returns. She rans like half out of breath compared to Giorgi.

  • Giorgi strikes the ball so clean. If she cut out the unforced errors and got a decent coach she’d go a lot deeper in tournaments because she has weapons.

  • Wozniacki has always been my favourite player, but it's a power game these days and she has to work on keeping her shots closer to the baseline. She hit many short balls and these cost her the match.

  • Wozniacki made it easy for Giorgi, by lobbing too many balls around the service line, allowing Giorgi plenty of options. Wozniacki meeds to hit lower over the net and closer to the baseline. When she does, she wins most times.

    • Woz emphasizes defense and waits for the other player to make an unforced error as a result of being impatient. Giorgi has such good ground strokes she hits less unforced errors than many players.

    • @seanhillery1231 Exactly! Wozniacki ran down so many balls, but her returns were ineffective. This wouldn't have been the case had she kept her returns closer to the baseline. Look at the match again .

    • @thomasdelaney8117 Yes, that's Wozniacki's game, but you can't lob over the net the way she did and not expect to be blown away. Had Woz played someone like Sabalenka or Rybakina it would have been much worse. True, she's on the comeback, but her coach has to turn her into a more aggressive player, as today's top players will just blow you off the court.

  • Excellent match. Woz continues to impress, but Camilla had the extra pep in her step today. Have you ever seen her comeback from 1 set down? She needs alittle more angles in her game. SHe had Woz on the ropes a few times and hit very getable shots down the middle. Good turnout, the fans knew this would be a good one.

  • Wozniacki was in her prime then and still Georgi won. Giorgi may never be number one, but, she has her successful moments beating top players. 2013. at that time, wasn't it ?

  • Wozniaki used be called “pusher” and I can see that. Most of her balls into middle of the court. No angle ball, not coming to the net. She just waits her opponent to miss first. Boring to watch, to be honest. Giorgi usually makes quite a few unforced errors but because of her style, taking risks. At least fun to watch.
