The single ingredient is the time taken preparing the food, and then you have all the pots, and pans to clean up.One thing about it they got you to watch til the end waiting for that one magic ingredient. If you slow cook meat over a long time, just like a slow cooker, it will get tender, but we would like to believe there is some kind of magic to make it melt in our mouths.

Aber hier geht es nicht um Kartoffelbrei, sondern um eine Art Schmorkartoffeln: erst werden sie etwas vorgekocht, dann in Öl knusprig gebraten. Das geht nicht, wenn du sie eine Stunde lang vorkochst, weil sie dann zerfallen und du sie nicht mehr anbraten kannst, wie im Video gezeigt.
