    • Hyenas are gentle and one of the most cooperative animals in wild africa, in many north african/middle eastern regions striped hyenas and brown hyenas are pets or used as hunting dogs. Female hyenas also have to deal with one of the most painful and hard births of any mammal, so there’s a kind of cooperation going on in these regions between them and humans.

Hyenas, like most other wild animals are mostly scared of humans and although like most other predators they have eaten people before, if he moved, one of two things would have happened. The hyena would most likely be startled and run away, or it would get startled and attack him. Either way, it was a once in a lifetime moment to get within petting distance of such a misunderstood creature.

They weren't looking to take down the crocs, but simply uphold and distract them while their pack members can drink from the river without submerged crocs where their at a disadvantage! When the First 3 WD's were distracting. They were later tapped out so now they can get water!! • @@floridacracker_ Sir, with all do respect, African Wild Dogs are an exceedingly complex social unit, unlike that of any reptile. The instincts of both animals couldn't be any more further apart. Reptiles are more or less reactionary, and when stressed they deploy the fight or flight method when engaged on land, mostly chosing the later. The Crocodile is rendered useless on land and has no real, or if any ADVANTAGE. Wild Dogs operate in the same manner as wolves and dingos. Everything they do is always CALCULATED, and not to "irritate for fun" after all, they hunt by means of exhausting out thier prey, so it wouldn't serve any purpose engaging in a meaningless spat, wasted energy, which is not beneficial to thier survival.

    • Underestimated and misunderstood yet again! All I ask of you is to go back and watch again to appreciate what you were watching!! Watch how the first 3 were using a tactic, to distract and uphold the crocs while the other pack members were drinking. When the other members returned, that essentially tapped them out, to go and do the same as now, they were replying the strategy!! Better to have them on land and occupied rather than submerged and in the water!! Remember animals didn't learn from watching us, we learned from watching them! Survival

    • Because it can't. Lions don't have anything remotely like the blunt impact hardware to break tempered glass.

  • why do they always wait for the lion to get so close before they roll the window up? That thing could claw you right in your throat before you even reach for the button if it wanted to. Darwinism at its finest.

  • 2:23 Notice the Wild Dog's get water from the shallow narrow area of the water hole. They know not to get water directly from the water hole where crocodiles may lie submerged ready to ambush.

  • It’s the power of the pack. A wild dog alone doesn’t stand a chance against a full grown Nile crocodile. However, with the pack, they can drive it away by annoying it from all directions.
