There is no coincidence that the only team that got swept last year to the nuggets was the lakers.......and the lakers have 2 of the top 75 players in nba history and couldnt win 1 game..... while you look at dudes like miami, suns, and I believe the timberwolves who were all capable of at least winning one game against denver...... Kobe is held to lower standards than Lebron so there can be an argument made. Lebron would be said to be not even a top 5 player ever if he was in the same situation.

    • @@datsapaddlin I don't think Kobe is #2. That might be Wilt. However, Kareem got 6 rings with 2 FMVPs, and lots of people argue that he's either the GOAT or #2. Lbj never won until he joined someone else's team, then failed. Someone showed him how to win. Nobody showed Kobe. Him & Shaq learned together. Shaq never won a Finals game until Kobe began to enter his prime. Meanwhile, Wade was already FMVP, Ray Allen was a champion, Adam Silver was the commissioner, Brian Windhorst who helped lbj get Draymond suspended was a beat writer, turned tv analyst. The co vid was covid... There are levels to this. Kobe > lbj. He repeated in year 13 & 14 without Top 75 players, while beating the most 50 win teams in league history, in the same Western Conference that is washing lbj now.

Six years - one title thanks to AD in beastmode and bubble circumstances, two times not even making the playoffs, three times barely making the playoffs to then get bounced early and twice even swept. Thanks Lebron, you clearly are a king among men. Good riddance. Sadly, I doubt they will wake up and even give him another contract to burn their money for very little gain in terms of success for the organisation.

He's a good regular season player, capable of eating up alot of innings/minutes & facilitating an Offense as the PG, but he will be inconsistent in the Playoffs. Its just his history. If he could solve it he would, but he cant figure it out anymore than we as fans can. At the right price I would keep him, because the bigger issue the Lakers have is the Frontcourt Personnel to deal with Jokic. They prove every year they cannot be consistent on a daily basis. I’m telling y’all if they just traded for dejounte Murray or derozan during the start of the season this would be so much different. They would have that third player that could put the pressure off lebron or ad. But when anyone of them sit it’s hard because they get doubled teamed or they just keep lebron out of the paint or just force AD to give the ball up fast. They need another threat of a scorer and completely revamp the bench. Can’t have old washed people like prince and dinwiddie. They shouldn’t have traded all those draft picks.
