Merab is a great teacher and a real sportsman, the fact he "slaps" to show this would have been a punch otherwise is awesome

when u talk , i just fkn listen man , it's an eye opening thank u for sharing some fighter said that ufc done that fight betweeen sneako and sean on purpose and i agree with you , it's not a good look for ufc overall i like when u talk about how superiour is grappling over boxing etc in street fights cuz it's true it's safer and easier to learn grappling first for self defense rather than boxing , i dont control myself much so imgine what could happend in a chaos street fight if i start learning boxing instead of grappling what i hate the most about boxing is that they hit you in the head it's not worth it
it makes sense why the ufc stepped in to stop the sparring. not only does it look bad but all it takes is a small accident or lucky shot for a influencer to devalue a fighter or the ufc brand also its fighting for money. they could claim no income. if they film it and post it. its fighting for money while under ufc contract

Merab don't invest in completing the takedown like Khabib also doesn't do the crucifix. Merab goes for the takedown but more so to tire out his opponent. Merab's only finish in the UFC was against Moraes.
@@jabrone.destoroyah The UFC cares about finishes its how they determine who will get the title shot the fastest/ earliest. The Petr fight was not a banger. Good win for Merab but you are probably the only person ever to think that fight was a banger. Finishing stat is what allows a fighter to speed up the process off earning a title shot. A finish in the top 10 is enough to get a top 5 as your next opponent. Guys that don't get finishes usually have to fight more times. It has been like this in the UFC for years.

This is what a big brother does to a younger brother and exactly what Sean should have done with Sneako instead of trying to break his face and no one would have criticized him for it. Merab used soft slaps for every hard punch he could have landed to make Sneako realize how much work he needs.
This is what happens when you want to help someone get better, that wasn’t the situation with Sean Strickland. If I’m not mistaken, the dude hates influencers, lets everyone knows he hates influencers, and only did it as a favor to someone. He also said he would beat his ass if he really went through with it and stayed away from his body like he said he would. Not only that, everyone around him said Sean would beat his ass and he did it anyways.
That’s because Sean got touched by his father and clearly has in resolved issues

Merab could have already been champ if it wasn't for Aljo. Cory or Merab should be getting the title shot. Chito is so lucky everyone was injured and needing surgery when they did. It created the perfect opportunity for chito to get his shot. Also I gotta respect O'malley for actually listening to the people & saying he will fight people in his division. Before he thinks about going & wanting to fight Topuria in a different division. I hope Topuria will also fight people in his division. I'd love to see Topuria vs O'malley down the road. Just not instantly jumping weight classes right after getting the belt. I get certain fighters are just interested in the new talent. I respect they want to compete against that talent, but let's chill and let people defend in their own divisions before doing a fight like that

I'll be honest, I don't care for Sneako or his online persona. But, this is a learning moment for him and a moment where he can toss away his pride for confidence. Much like GSP did, he has to learn that he can't just walk into a ring unprepared and undertrained. Strickland was a learning moment, but this is a pride-shattering "fight," which is to say that every single strike thrown was a mere playful slap, supposed to show that he *could* have destroyed him entirely.

People were clowning on Sneako because of the Strickland thing, but honestly, it was the first thing the dude did that I actually respected. If anything, doing this is humbling the guy and making him realize he's not as 'bad' as he thought he was.
