After the next film, I'd like to see Kong and Godzilla each get at least 2 solo films before crossing over again. It will shorten the time between new releases. We'll get a new movie every 1-2 years rather than waiting 3 at a time.

Yeah I don't think Destoroyah will come to the MV at all because introducing a mutated kaiju like that will make the MV out of place when it is confirmed that the franchise will have kaijus that naturally evolves. Besides making Destoroyah exactly like that will basically not be inspiration but copying the Heisei era and it'll make the movie boring.

Still wish we could one day see Legendary's take on Gamera. Talk about humanized kaiju getting their own arcs...
The thing is if we all show Legendary that there is a big interest in the idea with #MonsterVerseGamera then we could actually get it, because there is nothing else really stopping it from happening aside from the lack of a big fan movement like for the Snyder Cut.

I would honestly like to have even more focus on the monsters than before. be a Kaiju version of Genndy's Primal. we honestly don't need a human presence that much. but, that's just my opinion.
True, easily the best part of GxK are the Kong sections where he's just vibing and interacting with other kaiju, I'd love to see a whole movie just dedicated to that kind of thing
@@Auzzymandias Kong's scenes and Genndy's Primal have proven that facial expressions and actions are enough to convey what the characters think and feel. a whole story was told with almost no dialog. Monsterverse would really work well in this direction since the monsters have good personalities on their own. heck, the monsters are written better than the humans. One thing I would like to see is Godzilla finally getting his son, Minilla, and how he would do as a father. Godzilla is known for having a fowl temper. he's broken up two other Kaiju fighting each other and kicked both their butts because they were making too much noise. the human characters once referred to Godzilla as, "The big angry baby" and he's very used to being alone. so, what would happen if they brought in Minilla and Godzilla is now experiencing parenthood?
@superzilla784 absolutely agree, I'd also like to see more of his relationship with Mothra fleshed out a little, they haven't been shown together very much but what is there is very interesting. They both appear to be the only members of their species so it could have some interesting background behind why she's the only kaiju around he actually likes.
I think you need the human presence, that’s what gives it scale. We just don’t really need to give the humans a storyline.

Am definitely excited for this new film and can’t wait to see a more Godzilla focused story with a more emotional plot but I hope Godzilla will still have that slim look to him but maybe a little bit bulky at the same time

This was god awful the creatures didn’t look REAL looked to cartoony and the CGI ruined it the way they used it if you watch the previous movies or watch godzilla MINUS one the effects were way better more superior at least dodzilla looked REALISTIC the effects looked very real this just looks cartoony like a computer game don’t look REAL and as the monsterverse has gone on you can see the difference in the special effects
Please let Spacegodzilla, Gigan or Biolantte be the next Big Bad (Desteroyah would be to soon). Give Godzilla white Dorsal Plates like Final Wars Goji or GMK Goji and finally give the Movie a serious Tone. Thats all i hope for.

Adam Wingard plans to focus way more on Godzilla (basically make him the main character) in the next one (he said that in an interview) and also make it more emotional/serious (so Jr could be coming). 👀 #MonsterVerseGamera
The only problem I had with Empire was the Hollow Earth stuff. You don't get the scale of the monsters because there were no humans or human made props as a scale comparison for the monsters. It was like an alternative Planet Of The Apes with Godzilla as the guest star. Does that make sense?
I had the same issue! I even said to my partner "Kong looks smaller!" Only Kong wasn't smaller at all! I actually think that was beautifully done because it really does put their size into perspective.
I really want Ghidorah to be brought back fully somehow. I feel like he was kinda wasted in KotM and should've been encountered far later than Godzilla's second MV film. MV Ghidorah is one of the few versions that actually has agency and isn't just a weapon for some antagonist.
I could definitely see them bringing Ghidorah back. Maybe he took over Ren's mind when he was linked to MechaGodzilla and has been using his body as fuel to slowly regenerate again.

I watched all the Monsterverse movies again a week before seeing GxK and I must admit 2014 Godzilla has a very dark, serious tone that I do rather like. The MUTO sounds, the haunting music at times, the cinematography, and Aaron Taylor Johnson running interference to help Godzilla, still one of my favourite Monsterverse movies.

Next movie I want to see Space Godzilla. I don't want them use Destroyah just yet. Save him for the final movie in the Monsterverse when it ends. Could be a way to reboot the entire Monsterverse if Legendary decides to do that.

They only make new movies based on how the previous one does. They don’t have these movies planned out like Marvel or DC. So what does that mean? It means they don’t know when the “final movie” will be. So we might not want to hold out on Destroyah for too long.

Wouldn't surprise me if the studio is going out of their way to push Wingard out since he DID prove them wrong with Mothra = $$$. Wingard WANTS to direct #3, hence recontextualizing the Mothra story as the studio wasn't sure if Toho would say yes. Um... give Toho $$$ & they will say yes. Don't fix what ain't broke. Fingers crossed it's Wingard.
UPDATE! I just read the article itself & it clearly states that the dude is only writing the script to GxK3. Hell, we're not even sure it'll be a GxK3. Nothing is said about him directing, However, it was implied that he might if Wingard is unavailable. Wingard, himself, is down for a GxK3. Again, not saying that what dude is writing IS for THAT film. They're discussing 2 separate topics, which is causing confusion.

I'm so excited it did so well in the box office. I told a lot of people to watch Godzilla x Kong and Godzilla Minus One, and they tell me how much they enjoyed them. My youngest is craving to watch Minus One at home. That's all he wants to watch right now, I can't wait till it's released on bluray in the US. I really hope they bring Gigan to the monster verse. He's one of my favorites!
Crazy how we just got this movie a month ago and we hunger for more Godzilla content. Its like an addiction I swear, the Monsterverse has never let us down so far, it was easier waiting when we only had 2014 XD

More Mothra is on the list of future films..I hope. She could easily carry her own presentation. Flyin' creatures are always bankable...why not more insect based Titans...the MUTOS can't be the only variations of the monsterverse...yes?? This franchise has a vast array of possibilities...all we need is a little imagination and a great director/script. We have the patience...but do we have the future talent??? This last 10 years has been a new gold age for the genre with only our favorite turtle missing out. The Ultraman film proved very entertaining as well with plenty of action as well as some good humor tossed in as well. Hopefully more will take their shot at bringing back some classics. Like so many people I also hope the film has more Godzilla screen time. Even though the scenes that he has the last couple movies is always awesome. But I also would like to see what (or given some indication) of what his life was like when he was younger. Also how he interacts with other kaiju like the graphic novels. And simply just more awesome scenes. I also would like to see him in a more serious and emotional film (though I think the NE is more serious than people give it credit for).

As long as they don't do a 360 on the story focus, the mosterverse movies have been moving towards more focus on the Kaiju, their expressions, and stories while the humans are there for explanations & comedy relief, if they keep to that, the next movie will do well

Godzilla x Kong is the best movie I’ve seen so far this year. I can’t see any other movie beating it!
I'm also slightly mixed on this, but I'm more on the positive end of the spectrum. Since the next film will be Godzilla focused and with Dave Callaham coming back to write the film after G14, this sounds like good news for me. Yes, his writing credentials have been hit-or-miss, but I have a feeling they'll bring in other writers to polish the script to make it more refined. So I don't think I should be worried (at least for now). And if this is indeed their attempt to bring the next film back to G'14's roots, then I'll be all for it! Though my only concern is that since the MV is so deep into the campy and weird tone of GvK and GxK, that going back to the tone of G'14 would be such a tonal whiplash that it may or may not be jarring that it'll turn off people.
I really wanna go back to solo stories for a bit maybe King Kong in the Hollow Earth dealing with King Caesar while Godzilla is up on the surface dealing with Destoroyah.

I want a few more films that are not next new big bad titan must be fought. Maybe jmha e Kong go on a further quest to find his history. Maybe have Godzilla have to simply police some titans who are rebelling like Scylla did. Maybe spotlight some lesser titans and their history like Behemoth?
I attribute the recent success of the Monsterverse to be the pivot from human stories with monsters to the opposite. Fans wanted to know more about Hollow Earth and its ancient and mysterious history. With each movie, we learn a little more to set up the next film.

SpaceGodzilla for the Monsterverse could be the 1st Gojira Species that was born but then he got corrupted similar to Skar King, Ate a Star and when all the Titans fought against him he fled Earth vowing revenge. Also like the Toho movie SpaceGodzilla has lots of Abilities like Telekinesis, Geokinesis, Energy Manipulation and others just like he wants to Terraform the Earth into a Giant Crystal and wipe out all life with his Crystal creature army.
As long as Adam can make sure everything runs smoothley its gonna be good and i hope it doesnt take 3 years to come out.

I think they should do an alien invasion movie. Godzilla faces another Ghidorah and Gigan. Then have an army of alien monsters arrive and Kong’s kong army and Shimo come out for a war.

@@IronWolf277 The narration says the titans were the defenders of earth and the apes the defenders of humanity. Defending it and them from what? Sounds like aliens to me. Have another Ghidorah come down. Maybe call it Ghidorah Prime. Just a bigger Ghidorah. His bro Gigan, Megalon or make up some alien monsters. Have a gradually increasing invasion till Godzilla gets overwhelmed and Kong has to help and bring his army. Somehow they all get teleported into hollow earth and there’s a mega battle. They could sell so many action figures.
I just hope this upcoming film fixes the glaring issue with GxK by giving Godzilla more screen time.

The Only good thing about Shang-Chi movie was the Japanese Mythical Creatures so it would be cool if we see lots of that in the 3rd Godzilla x Kong crossover movie showing lots of New Titans, Fantasy aspects as well as an Ancient Dark creature that has awoken from its slumber.

At the very least it seems we can expect awesome action from the writer. And if we’re lucky, it may pull at the heart strings very well like WW84 (that film moved me to tears, loved it lol). Personally, all I ask for are well or decently written human characters, a story more centered on Godzilla since it feels like he got somewhat shafted in both GVK and GXK, the story to explore Godzilla’s past and his way of thinking and generally give him the emotional development that Kong has been given, and a badass enemy that isn’t Destroyah (I love him, but I want him to get some more build up). Maaaaaaybe SpaceGodzilla. Personally tho, I’d either prefer an original villain or Hedorah. Something that’s not necessarily the most powerful enemy the heroes have ever faced, but something that is perhaps the most dangerous and challenging. Maybe even a product of humans.
