With the theme of "home", I am starting to realize that Godzilla has no real home. Atlantis is long gone. The Atlantis temples were destroyed too in King of the Monsters. The Roman Coliseum is just a small comfort for what Godzilla once had...
Kong freed his people and shimo. He finally found his home. Now we gotta see what Godzillas arc is gonna be in the next movie
Best movie in the Monsterverse. Last 30 minutes of the movie was an absolute roller coaster ride. The human characters were utilised perfectly. They weren’t annoying or taking up too much screen time. My only only problems with the movie was Tiamat appears for barely a minute. I love Tiamat and was frustrated that I got so little
Never really thought too much about it before. But when Godzilla was hit with the Oxygen Destroyer and returned to his home to rest, I can't help but feel Godzilla felt he had failed and was just content with just resting for however long he needed to, regardless of the destruction Ghidorah was causing. And when his home was destroyed and he was rejuvenated, he accepted the fact it was his duty to restore balance and that the past was gone. His home was literally just ruins of his past. He was no longer worshipped and respected as he once was and the world has changed. But it was still his purpose to keep balance. And that was a nice explanation as to why he sleeps in the colosseum.

I also like how this movie has a very fantasy angle to the kaiju plot. I mean, think about it.
I felt bad for kong when this frog type creature thing was mocking Roars of his making it seemed like there was other kongs out there
Hoping now he can finally be called King Kong. I’ve seen this movie twice already and I plan on going another couple of times. I’m start to finish. I never stop smiling.
The ending was sweet especially when I get to see shimo's cuteness when she was freed
I'd like to believe that Kong said this at the end of the film "Skar King ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect."
there are 2 sides hear. Kong being a character that some of us can relate to with his kind loving wanting nothing more than to be around family, And Godzilla being the hardcore badass and all powerful character that will stop at nothing to protect the things that are important to him. and i love how they mash up these characters in the films cause they do it the right way.
I'm partial to Kong, and this movie showed him more respect than I ever imagined. One of my all-time favorite movies. However, I've always been a huge Godzilla fan too (gasp a Kong AND Godzilla fan?? Yeah those exist lol), and I have to pose this question:

I was surprised to see Shimo still with the Kongs after all she had through. I guess she had been kept almost as a “pet” for so long it was just comfortable for her. Not to mention she might have felt loyal to Kong after freeing her. I hope she eventually decides to live a life of her own tho and migrate somewhere else. Most likely somewhere colder on the surface such as Antarctica or even somewhere in the Arctic like Tiamat’s old layer.

Did anyone notice how not only did Shimo listen to Godzilla to attack the scar king, but also how agile Godzilla is in anti-gravity?
I really loved how they showed the ape that kong helped at the end and how he was crying with happiness, it was really touching

Really happy for the success of godzilla x kong the new empire....hope doug gets more cameos and some role to be played.
