    • @@boxing4life410You don't understand??? It's pretty clear to see, they over paid fighters to be in fights that no one asked for or wanted to see. They made every half way decent fight a PPV at $80 then gave you a shit undercard so it was just $80 for the main event. They "marinated" fights for YEARS that didn't need marinating. Stephen Espinoza let uncle Al Haymon run wild over there and treated every fighter like they were Mayweather. There is only one Mayweather, we may never see another one so using that Mayweather template on every fairly marketable fighter was a disaster waiting to happen. There are tons of reason why Showtime is out of the boxing business, the main one was putting Espinoza in charge.

  • For the first time in my life I’m actually worried about this sport we all love so much. I have fought HARD against the “boxing is dead” narrative my entire life. But without HBO or Showtime I’m actually worried now. Both these networks did so much to bring us in as fans. They made it feel like it was more than “just a fight”. 24/7 and AllAccess specifically created so many fans who knew nothing about the sport. I have literally 0 faith in ESPN or DAZN growing this sport. They don’t have any soul in their production and really do shitall to promote new stars. Maybe PBC and Amazon show up, but I’m not going to count on it. I’m sure I’ll get pushback on this and fights will go on, but there is literally nothing showing me this sport will actually grow in the coming decade. I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see. It’s an absolute shame HBO and showtime have quit the boxing game. Thank you for your memories and making me fall in love with the sport that changed my life

  • I've been a TRUE boxing fan all my life & Showtime was right there with me. Whether it was a night of boxing or a Showtime Championship PPV, I saw it. After watching the great "End of an ERA" video, it brought tears to my eyes. There wasn't a fight clip that was shown that I didn't see live on TV. "The voice of showtime", we all know him as Muaro Ranello. The saying that I can't forget is when a boxer gets hit with a knarly uppercut and the boxer's head goes flying back and here comes Muaro with "he just got rocked like a pervial PEZ dispenser". That was a classic line. I watched religiously for 37 yrs and I'm truely sad to see such a program come to an end. From Muaro, to the center of the ring, and the classy Jimmy Lennon Jr. , there's nothing that gets me going more then when I hear, "IT'S SHOWTIME" Thank You for all you've done for boxing. Showtime Championship boxing will be missed, again, Thank You

  • ّI grew up with HBO boxing but adopted Showtime as I got older. Our boxing family is slowly dwindling. I love that fighters are finding newer opportunities in MMA and exhibition fights. But the era of golden age boxing is slowly coming to an end as there are lesser and lesser avenues to watch title fights. My kids aren't going to have the same fight fan experience that I had. It's something I always hoped we'd share. I hope they can find something meaningful from the fight world as Showtime and HBO's been for me.

  • Thank you for tall the incredible fights Showtime Boxing. Attended my 1st and unfortunately last showtime boxing event early March this year when Mark Magsayo took on Brandon Figueroa at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Truly an amazing experience.

  • Imagine a little me, wide-eyed and barely five, perched next to my dad, watching Showtime Boxing. He was a pro in those gritty mid-80s, and those fights became our bonding ritual. Fast forward, over three decades later, and that bond evolved, passing the passion to my own kids. Showtime became a family tradition, painting our lives with intense fights, fierce rivalries, and heart-stopping moments. The folks on screen, the hidden heroes backstage, they made it more than just boxing; they crafted experiences, memories we carried through life. Each punch thrown, each fighter’s story told-it wasn’t just sports; it was life lessons wrapped in leather gloves. Now, as we bid adieu to Showtime Boxing, it feels like saying farewell to an old friend who colored our world with courage, determination, and endless excitement.

  • Thank y’all so much. If it wasn’t for y’all I would’ve never seen the great fight of my life. Spence Vs Crawford I’m only 31. I grew up watching Tyson but as I got in my 20s when I really started to realize I love boxing more then my daddy who got me started with it. I used to ask him questions about it. Lol now he calls me and ask questions thanks to y’all our relationship also grew. 🔥🏆

  • There had been some great commentators on Showtime Championship Boxing throughout those 37 years: Tim Ryan, Steve Albert, the late Ferdie Pacheco, Bobby Czyz, the late Nick Charles, Steve Farhood, Barry Tompkins, Gus Johnson, Al Bernstein, Paulie Malignaggi, Daniel Jacobs, Abner Mares, Bruce Beck and Mauro “MAMMA MIA!” Ranallo. To me, Steve Albert, Ferdie Pacheco and Bobby Czyz and Mauro Ranallo, Al Bernstein and Paulie Malignaggi will always be my two favorite broadcast teams on Showtime Championship Boxing!
