The inspiration behind this video:
While there haven't been many Mortal Kombat 2 story details, the end of Mortal Kombat sets up further invasions by Shang Tsung (Chin Han) as he seeks to use his Outworld allies to prevent a fair Mortal Kombat tournament from happening. Though the wait to find out who will be playing the iconic Johnny Cage is getting harder, it was confirmed in the very final shot of Mortal Kombat that the smart-talking Hollywood star will be in the sequel too. In more confirmed Mortal Kombat 2 updates, an actual Mortal Kombat tournament will be shown in a Mortal Kombat 2 movie, making up for its absence in the first movie.
It has been all but confirmed that Joe Taslim will return in Mortal Kombat 2 too, which was teased by Garner, but it might not be as Sub-Zero. Taslim will likely return as Noob Saibot, the shadow that the character turns into after being killed by Scorpion in the game lore. It was previously reported that Taslim signed a five-movie deal with Warner Bros. so it's hardly surprising that the character is returning in some capacity despite his death in the 2021 movie.

    • @@andrewedmondson5943 Lol yeah because Karl Urban hasn't been acting long enough to play a character with an American accent ( you have seen some of his movies right ? ) so I'm sure playing that role would be real tough. The only reason I think it might be tough is because he is an older actor they might get an actor that's younger but it doesn't matter whether he is from New Zealand or Nigeria most can play just about any accent that's required especially someone as talented as Karl Urban. Do you really think acting is just reading a script in your normal voice ? I'm not trying g to be rude but are you 11 or 12 ?

    • Ghidorah and Destoroyah are 2 of the most powerful mk villains, just behind One Being. Godzilla is canon to the Mortal Kombat universe, he is by far the strongest kombatant. Only he can truly defeat the One Being.

  • Whatever happened to the dead Subzero returning to life as Noob Saibot? Thought that was in the works. It would've been way more interesting to see as he comes back to take revenge on the currently resurrected like in Mortal Kombat 2 Scorpion and Cole. That and everyone that gets in his way to get to his objective.

  • It is an utter shame they didn't bring Kuai Liang into the sequel. The "revenge only creates more revenge" storyline writes itself. Casting Andrew Koji of HBO's excellent WARRIOR series would not only be a nice nod to the show (Joe Taslim is also a main character on it) but I think Koji could bring a "cooler", more laidback, but edgy portrayal to Kuai Liang. Just search Ah Sahm scenes for Warrior and you'll see what I mean.
