@@synergies7672 depends on the cars weight I suppose, my dads lil escort zx2 manual is decent, but it’s so easy to drive and so meh I’m not having much fun just punching the gas anymore. Don’t worry, I’m not banging off the rev limiter or abusing the thing, but I’m way to comfortable with 8 seconds to 60. Very slow anymore. I do all the maintenance and own my own vehicle, a 2003 Ford ranger xlt, it’s a nice truck, bought her for 1600 and after the maintenance and with only 82k miles she is now worth 5-6k I’m happy to say. I’m working as a carpenter and going to sell the ranger for a c5 corvette, just came back to this video to see more of em.

Got a Chevrolet commercial while watching this. It wasn't for a Corvette, I guess they know my budget.
You would be surprised at how cheap you can get a C3 or C4, in good condition to.

You work hard enough, you can get any car brother. Although, I'd recommend you get a Corvette.
It is quite impressive that this guy can get the information correct almost every single time, and rarely make errors. Credit to the crew for that, very good job on these up to speed segments i've watched. Something most of the magazines and car type TV shows were never really able to do...
I know a lot of people don't see the Corvette as a supercar. But it's nice to know when you buy a car it can keep up with a Lambo with a Ferrari and still make it to a 150k miles without needing an extra 50k worth of service
a supra or r34 can keep up with a lambo with proper tuning and you'll probably spend the same as getting a corvette depending on the country you live in and those 2 aren't considered as supercars as well

Zhi xci for something to be a super car I feel like modifications don’t count, because you could ls swap a civic give it 1500hp and make it faster than a Bugatti, but is it a supercar?

MrCorvusC I agree the first 3 generations looked great. Then c4-c6 were mediocre, but the aggressiveness of the c7 vettes is very visually pleasing. Sure, it’s different from the first 3 vettes, but it’s just the natural evolution of it. Everything changes over time.

Vipers didn’t come in v8. Vipers are V10 which many entry level super cars had. The viper was more of an exotic car because of that. Vettes are the one true American sports car.
Eric Meyer I'd disagree with you. The engine choice has little to do with it. Since the viper came onto the scene in the 90s, the two have been directly compared. The biggest difference being the corvette has "entry level" trims, while the viper more competed with the Z06/zr1, which have been on a much closer level.

Huge oversight in that you didnt mention the multiple wins/domination at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the C5 and subsequent gens. This was game changing for Corvette on the world stage.

@@Madwy-ml6qb Yes, it did exist. The C7 ZR1 was unveiled on November 12, 2017 in Dubai. A lot of KZheadrs made videos about that at that time and this video was uploaded around 3 months later. So the C7 ZR1 should be in this video as the best Corvette ever made.

Well I must share my thoughts on this car. Thanks to this video and several others I managed to buy myself a 2000 C5 MT. The car is amazing even though it sometimes is hard to handle on the Polish roads. It also crackles, isn't very well fitted in terms of interior elements and is loud AF. for an average European customer it might be a total brute, but hey, that was the point of it. It didn't have to be a luxurious, well-silenced car, but a fast sportscar that kicks ass on the road and track. I think GM did a great thing and I hope I'll finish all the repairs soon. The Vette deserves far more recognition, as it redefined the American sports cars forever.

I have a 2017 C7 Z51 with the 3LT package, and that car (besides being a mouthful) is such an awesome car! It’s literally my favorite thing on this planet, and hopefully one day I can get a C7 ZR1!

Great video, I learned a lot and I’d love to see Zora honored. Still seems like you missed mentioning the racing history. The C6R established the Corvette as a dominant sports car on the international stage at Le Mans. Not much different from the GT40.

I’m working on buying a C6 Z06. I’ll never forget reading a car and driver magazine in 2005 when I was 15. That thing blew my mind, that an American car could not only compete, but dominate far more expensive European cars for half the money. Not only that, but good luck affording the maintenance on those European cars the Z06 was supposed to compete with back then. What an amazing car.

i own a corvette c3 and i love it has a costom twin turbo as well and a new paint job and interior from my grandpa
I like the C4 for being so 80s to the core. Also, pop-up headlights :-D But the C7 with all aero options and sticky tires really is a force to be reckoned with. Big leap forward.

Just yesterday I saw a C6 Corvette, which are pretty rare here in Austria. I have to say that the C6 is the sleekest Vette, second best looking Vette (#1 is the original Stingray), and overall one of the most beautiful cars in the world ever made. I like the C7 and the C8, but the C6 is already a classic. And I want it. And I can't afford it.

The spy photos in the video are the mid engine vette, you can see the side scoops, in the second snow picture it's next to the ZR-1 as well. GM's been driving both the ZR1 and C8 together.
I like how his "Americans were taking notice" clip is from V for Vendetta in which British People were taking notice of V.
I've never been a big fan, but do like the split windows and up to 69s though. Although l saw the new C8 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale AZ recently, and am really impressed with it. I saw it on the tubes before we went, but looks incredible in person and is something to behold. That's saying a lot from a lifelong Mopar enthusiast, and totally give a big thumbs up to the bow tie boys on this one 👍🏼 🇺🇸 🏁🏁
