Same here. I always hear that the 2lt is the better option to go with. I really want a Z06 but they are hard to find.
The seats are ventilated not a/c... best way to use them is to turn the air conditioning on and direct the air to the floor vents.. this helps the seats vent cooler air through them.

Right👍 I'm not a Vette owner... I did try to buy a C6 for my wife... But when I was in sales I knew vented seats only blow the air thats in the cabin.

2LT is by far the best bang for your buck. You can add other OEM parts in the future if you are wanting upgrades. If you are on a budget, 2LT is the way to go. I got my 2015 stingray 2LT for around $38,000 with 44K miles in fantastic condition. The cars performance is tremendous for the price (granted I traded in a 2013 V6 mustang, so the power is way higher). It performs like a sports car that is $100k+
Trading in my 2012 5.0 for one . I’m a mustang guy but u can’t beat that vette . All around solid car. Bang for ya buck fo sure 💪🏾

Hey Mike, you probably know this but when you showed the cargo shades on the 2LT, it's not necessary to slam the hatch down. It has that pull down feature that will gently close the lid quietly. I love this feature on my Corvette. Thanks for the info on the "T" differences. Very informative. 😎
Thank you! The napa leather info and video showing the leather is the best ever description for a 3lt! To me there is a big jump in price to go from a 2 to a 3lt. This shows me we what you are really paying for in that price hike.

@@ChevyDude in a TARGA top CORVETTE C7 how far u can lean down the seats ? this is a deal breaker to me.. ✅it checks the box of a daily driving car ✅ it checks as a groceries and on the go car as it has so much trunk room but what also makes it check as an EVERYTHING car if at least the passenger seat leans all the way down as this would be convenient to shift driving on road trips with a friend for example. ⚠don't mind this logic as this would be my only car and that's why i want it to check as many boxes as it can. Also don't mind my english its not my native language 😂

From what I've seen, it's just the aesthetics correct? Aerodynamics like the lip, side skirts, spoiler...different front grille and fender cutout
Good video...only thing id do differently is i'd show a red leather interior to show the interior better. Grey or black doesnt show up well.

Actually the ventilated seats are one of the best features on my car that I use quite frequently, I live in california tgats a good feature to have
Thank you for the amazing and detailed review...I will be getting a second a hand 2017 1LT in 2 days and the biggest feature I was worried about lacking was the heated/ventilated seats and I'm glad you said the ventilated seats are not up to expectations, which now makes me not feel so bad about 1LT...now the only thing I am unhappy about the 1LT is the sound system but I can easily get that upgraded at a local shop here. Thank you very much.

Hey. I’m thinking about getting a 1LT 2016 right now in 2023. How are you liking it and how much did you pay for it?? Mine will have 50K miles.
@@cshinfo So far so good, I got mine at 19k, im at 35k now, got it for $40k at that time, think the prices have gone up now. The factory sound system is actually pretty good. It's got a lot of power and gets a lot of attention. No mechanical issues but some electrical issues that have come up, but I'm a DIY guy so I replace the parts myself (windshield washer motor and blend door actuator for HVAC). It does not have the wireless Android Auto like the newer Chevy's have but it works good with the wire and the controls are quite intuitive. There were some upgrades on the 1LT from 2016 and up some additional added features you don't find on 2014 and 2015 models. It actually rides smoother than my Lexus IS250.

Im not sure if you touched on it, but isnt the Z06 body *a few inches wider than the base* ? I think the grand sport shares the z06 body as well....
Will the GT1 seats be more comfortable for daily driving than the GT2 seats, assuming they are both in a 2LT? I'm considering the LT3 but I can't choose GT1 seats and if they are more comfortable that's more important to me.
Probably would have been better on the 3LT to have a color other than black. I have a 2017 Z51 convertible, white with grey interior and it is really a nice looking combination.

10:00 in south Texas those temperatures 80s and 70s are nice because your hot dsys are usually high 90s or past a 100 ,but I'm sure what we start thinking is cold is nice for you. We get extrem heat in the south states will west while east may not get as high ,but hummity makes feel bad. While north states get scary winters.

Hey there again mike, the 2018 corvette stingray 1 LT is standard equipment with the 19 inch front and 20 inch rear. Bc mine I just bought 4 weeks ago left over has them. Mine has the performance exhaust as a option as well. My 18 new corvette I just bought only has 30 day s of OnStar/WiFi/xm radio. My other car 18 Camaro ss I bought last year has 90 days of OnStar and the stuff!!! Idk??? Did Chevy cheap out on the OnStar 🤔???? Those cargo shade are cheap looking for a car that price!!! I don’t use them lol. Good video 👍
Wow! Lots of detail. I had wondered whether the 3LT had any features I'd like beyond those of the 2LT. Now I know. By the way, isn't it a head up display? I hear heads up a lot and I recall when that was a feature on fighters and believe it was called head up because of the location of the display sender.

Update? You get one yet? My dad just sold his 2017 z51 lt1 so he could put money down to buy a plane. I got so addicted to driving it especially since it was a manual transmission. I’m considering buying one for myself now that it’s gone. Might save a little extra and swing for the 1lz z06
I have the 3LT and my cooled seats are awesome, i never have back sweat it feels good, i just makes leather seats better, i used to have a corvette without that feature and having the cooled seats are just better
I wonder if cooled seats on the camaro 2ss are also disappointing. I picked a '17 ss 1le for other obvious reasons, but no cooled seat... Might swap for a zl1 or z06 in a more or less distant future.

So can you tell me what is different from a stingray from grand sport???? Bigger body, and z51 package? So is best bang for my buck to get all bells and whistles is a stingray 3lt z52 package? Aren’t there differences in the rear spoilers between the packages? There is also an 07 package that includes the level 3 spoiler and the carbon- ceramic brake package. Also, doesn’t the lt3 package do color coded stitching. I have a 2016 C7R edition and it has everything - including the kitchen sink!! Lol

If you bought a C7 as a 1LT, is it possible to upgrade this car with 2LT features like heated and cooled seats, navigation, and HUD at a later date through a dealership? Are the GT and sport seats interchangeable as well?
Odd question, from what I know base 1LT vehicles only have the gray interior stitching on stingrays, but on Z06 it’s same color stitching if you get the red seats on the 1LZ. If you get a Z51 1LT with the red seats, is the stitching still gray or will it be red?
I'm happy to hear you say suede and not Alcantara. So many use them interchangeably. Alcantara is a name brand. Unless the suede is made by Alcantara, it's just suede.
The one Corvette I want in my life is a 2014 C7 painted in Lime Rock Green only year the color was available it wasn't popular With the Kalahari interior AKA peanut butter that's what I nicknamed it cuz it looks like peanut butter And you know it has to have that Z51 performance pack Also yes I will get the 7 Speed Stick

Guys that like the chrome and silver probably associate the all black rims with spare tires. Back in the day when they had spare tires that is.

Love your 2016 Z51 Stingray 2LT... I would have bought a 3LT Long Beach Metallic Red except I didn't like BOSE and their marketing practices. Case in point: they made you pull the description of "their" system from this video. Right? (their attorneys will probably pull this comment) Why GM has to use Bose is beyond me when there are so many FAR Superior Audio Systems. Still love my 50th Anniversary Silver Vette with the oversized speakers that move air. Yes, Bose, but hey, it's a Vette.
Is it possible to upgrade a base C7 Stingray to a 2LT or 3LT at a later date, or even just particular key features like NAV, security and curb view cameras?

Hey! What do you think of a 2019 zo6 1lt lemon title with only 30k miles for 60k flat? I’ve heard that when they resell the vehicle, all the “problems” it had has to have been “fixed” by GM to avoid liabilities? What is your opinion? I’ve never seen a clean looking z06 for that price.

2LT and 3LT also gets the adjustable Lumbar, which 1LT does not have. Unless that became standard on the 1LT in 2019.
