    • If Chicago even had a decent QB or if Kyle Orton stayed healthy for all of 2006 and into SB41, The Bears probably beat the Colts to win it all. The 2006 Colts were a damned good team, but in all honesty, New Orleans or Seattle would've beat them here. I can't believe those 2 teams lost to Chicago in the 2006 Playoffs.

    • We beat you three years later in the Super bowl. This year you guys had an elite QB who dragged a pretty bad defense to the big game. Meanwhile, your opponent had a solid defense that dragged a terrible QB to the big game. The terrible QB fell flat against your pretty bad defense, while the solid defense fell flat against your elite QB with the help of his run game. Your fan base needs to give Peyton Manning more credit for this game. He threw for 247 yards against a defense that trained themselves to only stop his passing game, which he realized and gave it to Domonic Rhodes a lot. He only made one mistake in this game. The fumble he had was not his fault, it was on the running back. Don't forget about the TD pass he had to Reggie Wayne while a defender grabbed his waist

Prior to their first game of the 2006-07 playoffs Indianapolis had surrendered more than 100 rushing yards in each of their previous TWENTY games. Then the Chiefs, Ravens, and Patriots all failed to gain 100 yards on the ground vs the Colts in the playoffs. Indy was a 12 yard run by Thomas Jones on the penultimate play of this already decided Super Bowl away from keeping Chicago under 100 rushing yards, too. Also, Indianapolis and Chicago both scored exactly 427 points during the regular season. You know, inspite of the fact that one of those teams had Peyton Manning and the other had Rex Grossman....a dominant defense and Devin Hester.

  • If ever there was a game that was "not as close as the score," this was it. I was at a friend's house with a group of folks watching and when it was 22-17 in the fourth quarter we all looked at each other and asked "how the heck is the score even this close?" Every stat line; first downs, total yards, time of possession, turnovers, everything was so lopsided in favor of Indiana that the Bears did well to stay in the game. Unfortunately for them, the back-to-back ridiculous interceptions by Grossman in the 4th quarter finished them.

  • There was a proposition bet that a couple of my friends won big money on. Hester runs a kick off in for a touch down. I didn't take it because I thought it would be insanity for the Colts to kick to him. We heard their kicker say they weren't afraid of him. Right, I thought. The very first kick off everyone yelled "They're kicking to him!". 12 guys shot out or their seats at our superbowl party and watched him run it in for a score. Three guys won about 12 to 13 thousand dollars on the very first touch of the ball. I ended up losing about three hundred in combined bets on the Bears. Ha. It was alot of fun though

  • I've seen the Colts lose more championships that has been observed bad calls over and over. The best I'd have to say was coming back to beat New England. Something I'd used to lose faith being that much behind. Not this time as nerve racking as it was I felt it was ours when Clark caught that long pass. I was so proud when on 3rd down Jeff Saturday put a pancake move so Joseph Idie could walk in the end zone like it was written.
