Jocko also authored the Discipline Equals Freedom Field Manual, a New York Times Bestseller, and the best selling Way of the Warrior Kid children’s book series.
Love how you made this one black and white lol
Knowing Andy, it was an accident. Lol!
And 480p after giving Echo a bunch of shit lmao
@@eriklarson9137 Andy applied PowerPoint logic to Sony Vegas. This is the result.
I don't think I'd recognize Jocko in color
@Will See i've seen a lot of jocko jokes but this might be the best ever 😂😂
Fun fact: Jocko didn't take MREs into combat. He ate spent brass.
😆😆😆
Clip Nuesome the bear that everyone says isn’t dead and is laying in Chuck Norris’ floor is really there hiding from Jocko
Fantastic fella’s, this civilian a$$h0le so appreciates what you do !
He ate spent brass and shit anchors. You forgot that part.
But he wouldn’t, if your gaging on Greek yogurt the taste of metal isn’t that good either
Andy leads the league in laughing at his own jokes, and I am here for it.
Some say Jocko puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter" others say his tears can cure cancer in kids..... its a shame he doesnt cry.
His non shooting eye has the ability for a single tear to come out but even that's hard to get too
Watch the podcast with Jonny Kim. We saw his gentle side
THANK YOU that brought a smile.
@Who Are You Really chuck Norris has a bedroom poster of jocko...
He cries for Sure, but Not in Front of US...
Andy is the Ryan Reynolds of the Seal community. Can't ever stop laughing!
“It’s a learning curve” like getting the mike stand out of the guests face 😂😂
rob14539 funny, I didn’t really think about that until reading your note and now it will probably irk me for the rest of the vlog 😳
@@stephenbabine3325 yup same here... thanks rob!
I think that is Jocko's normal position in his studio but the cameras that record Jocko's podcast are they 3 tripods opposite this camera view.
Jeff McGovern It’s cool seeing a different angle
Hahaha totally.
Rumour has it that it was filmed in colour but then. Jocko took a breath.....
And any Corona in a 10yd radius perished. But CBS says the virus is racist so why wouldn't Jocko be privileged?
Wait, is this a Warbreaker reference? It's been a while since I read it, but still....
@@pavelowjohn9167 that is what I was wondering.
Bro dont mess around, that's a true story!
I died laughing hearing about how Andy would put on higher rank tabs in certain meetings just to give his input on shit 😂😂😂
Imagine the trouble he’d get in if higher ups found out about that at the time 😂
Claustrophobia sometimes gets worse with age too. It’s a mother!
Any veteran knows that is probably the biggest big dick move ever. What I hope doesn't get lost in the wash, is that he was doing it to protect his guys, not for his own ego, and that makes it so fucking awesome.
I'm pretty sure Jocko can start a fire by rubbing two pieces of ice together
Interesting to see how Jocko is completely different here when talks to someone with a similar background.
Great to see Jocko finally have the CEO of Black Rifle Coffee on his podcast
This is Andy's podcast, Jocko is the guest. This sarcasm or a joke attempt
@@tonyfknb3896 I'm going to let you figure this one out on your own ;)
Knights of the Apex lmfao 😂😂😂
"UP AT A REASONABLE HOUR"
This is an underrated comment...
"Stumpfback Mountain" gets its origin story.
I still can't understand how you don't have more subs Andy 👍
I listen to a fair amount of podcasts of Joko’s and Andy’s, and this is by far, the best one I’ve ever listened to. To have both of them talking of old times on the teams was fantastic! You could see how relaxed each one was with the other and it was wonderful to witness. Just 2 warriors shooting the shit and enjoying each other’s company. Outstanding! I’m thankful that our country still produces men such as these two heroes. God bless them both.
Poseidon has blessed us
If you look up "decentralized command" in the encyclopedia, you'll see Jocko's face.
Thank you for the quarantine content. VERY much appreciated!
I'm so glad I watched this episode because it led me to tactical asshole actual.....and it is tremendous
Austin Gilles I hope Mat Best appreciates the success that General Stumpf gifted him.
Two living legends, really enjoyed this one!
I listened to this months ago when it came out, i'm listening again because i enjoyed it that much.
Podcast really got going around the 1hr 35 moment. I love that line about most peaceful time is on operations - such a hard thing to explain but so relatable and so damn true.
Two of my favorite guys. The friendship between these two is interesting
You’re an amazing human being Andy and are the ultimate example of the type of people we need more of in this world. Really enjoyed your interviews on Rogan’s podcast which led me to your channel and now I’ve got plenty more podcasts to enjoy thanks to you. Much respect and thank you with the utmost sincerity for serving our great nation.
4:01 “It wasn’t an ‘of course’ to me.” 😂😂😂
Andy's story of becoming an O is probably my favorite so far. That's exactly the kinda sneaky shit mentality I want to see in the Teams and SF, especially T1 operators
Thanks to both of you for being so honest!
This is my favorite podcast from either of Jocko and Andy. The black and white is a great touch.
Great podcast! Finally getting to hear much more about Jocko's career is interesting and enjoyable. Both of these men are very interesting to hear speak about their experiences.
Big fan of Andy's podcast and the guests he has. Jocko is a great guest and host. Add Mike Ritland and this would be awesome.
Loved it! I’ve been to that war memorial in Indianapolis; it’s awesome!!!
1:06 Andy: ' Yeah, apparently when the power goes out, certain file types can get corrupted. ' Jocko' I wish I was shooting multiple people in the face right now.'
Do SEALS take a class in podcasting? CO "Alright boys, you're retiring from the Navy. Here's your podcast. Good luck!" SEALS "Roger that!."
1:04:21 "Extremely Limited Ownership" by Andy Stumpf. Chapter 1: "There Are No Bad Leaders, Only Bad Teams" Chapter 2, by Jocko Willink: "Nobody Told Me That"
Would be a bestseller
You got some good stuff out of jocko that I havent heard and ive listened to almost every podcast he has put out or been on.
Him and Andy’s relationship is fantastic. Its really natural and organic.
The last 30 minutes of this should win an award for the raw knowledge given.
Death once had a near Jocko experience
Awesome conversation between my 2 favorite podcasters. Stay at home...furloughed from work...GOOD!!! Listen and learn.
I loved you two talking about Dick Thompson. That story is completely incredible.
Get something different each time I watch this episode, probably 3rd or 4th time now. I really enjoy the respect and friendship these two have for each other, and how relaxed they are with each other. Andy knows which buttons to push with Jocko, to get him to let his hair down a bit.
I really like Jocko's book ideea. Can't wait for it to be published.
I always appreciate Andy and Jocko just talking.
Get these numbers up people are sleeping on Andy’s podcast ✌🏻🇺🇸
This is legendary!!!! Subscribed
I agree with Andy 💯 on veterans using and blowing there experiences completely out of proportion
"Go sit down on the wall, here's a gatorade." LMAOOOO
Crazy ass podcast..cool to see ya gettin video in....best story ever sky diving and surfing a mine sweeper!!!..grew up in the flathead!
Excellent discussion, thank you.
That look that Andy has after Jocko says ramen noodles taste good at 4:12...
Jocko doesn't need a intro. A intro needs Jocko.
Brilliant, funny and that's how to end a pod cast
Jacko please do more if possible SOG members interviews. Im just re-playing old ones.
Back in the day, after I got out of the Army, I was broke. All I ate for about a year was Ramen noodles. They were $1 a dozen so, I ate a pack in the morning and a pack at night. Now that I'm no longer broke, I still eat a pack for breakfast and a pack at night.
Just found this! AWESOME! Love both of these animals! Consider me subscribed
Self quarantined for two weeks now all alone. Good. Spending 9 hours a day learning a new language. Can already speak conversational dialogue.

As an ER nurse and a vet I'm always amazed at how many guys who show up at the emergency department who not only clam to be a combat vet but super recon special forces super jumper oss sniper.
Dude, I am an "old" infantry Jarhead that works in the ER as a nurse at the Minneapolis VA. All those guys are Spec Ops!! Don't believe the services have any cooks, bakers or candle stick makers anymore!
Nice profile pic bro
Not a Vet, but an ER nurse. More than 1 have stated "I took bullets for you" and aren't even combat vets. Much respect for all Vets, even those that misrepresent experience. In awe of those that have had boots on the ground.
I never understood this. Like... MOST people don't even join the military (even with the relative ease of basic nowadays) it's okay to be the guy who does laundry, chips paint, or counts boxes.
@@davidw1390 the guy who chips paint in the Navy has DOR from BUD/s or dropped from another command, they’re chipping paint because the NAVY doesn’t need them doing anything else
The audio of this podcast is so satisfying!
I improved my tolerance to claustrophobic-type situations, through jiu jitsu. Being on the bottom, and working, with technique to get out and reverse.
Great job guys. God bless America
I just have simple training at home, don't listen music just this podcast... Its so cool to listen this conversation...
Meal team 6! Outstanding!
Good move 'Andy' making it black and white!
Great podcast
Awesome podcast, should have had Echo setup the camera angles.
I want either one of these guys to have Eddie on the pod cast !!
...timeless chat, thank you
Thankful for podcasts like these working from home during all this shit. Even more more thankful for the two warriors. Cheers from MN
We all know Jocko is awesome, but Andy is also awesome in his own right. He is a great interview on every podcast I've seen him on. Glad he has his own now that it is doing well.
Best ending to a podcast ever.
That big box of Ramen Noodles in the garage. It’s there time to shine.
The quarantine is making me slow down and breathe. It has given me a fresh perspective. Not gonna chase the dollar as hard as I was before. Going to chase happiness for a while. Thanks Andy and Jocko, for everything.
The way you end your podcasts classic. 👍
I can't wait for Andy to have a whole bunch of Jujitsu patches on his "Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" - Jocko Willink

Jocko novel... let’s go!
Back and white video. Great choice.
Andy is a Genius
I can only imagine how some folks who don't have a military background might get lost trying to follow parts of this dialog. Good stuff.
No military background, but lots of study and appreciation. Number 1 life regret, not going in. Acronyms throw you for a min but the good podcasts give the clarification and/or meaning, or you figure it out later if you listen long enough.
Andy you gotta get you some "Korean Ppushu Ppushu Smash Noodle Snack"
Great podcast Andy. An jocko🇬🇧🇬🇧
Would like to hear there opinion on the fired captain of the Roosevelt and SECNAV response ?

So is there a part 2? This ended like it wasn’t finished
Love the laid back style of this one. Cool to see Jocko less formatted.

1:27:58 its cool to hear people this successful/respectable say this! i'm sometimes influenced by everyday people who are climbing the ladder to abandon my passions/dreams etc and just chase money/status instead, but alot of these respectable people on podcasts say "DONT CHASE MONEY/STATUS!", stay committed to your purpose/mission instead, its better :) agreed!
