    • Do you think that focusing on race, but not finding the link back to the system has become a problem? In other words, is race being used as leverage to distract people from criticizing capitalism?

    • lol crony capitalism is CAPITALISM. if capitalists blameS for every negative things that occur in a socialist and communist countries aa "its the evil of socialism and communism " then such compartmentalization applies to capitalism. Poverty and race are main tentacles of capitalism that's according to your God fathers of capitalism.

    • @@gannibalof21st Marxism is the brainchild of the people you believe you’re fighting. Maybe you should find out how Trotsky was funded. The big boys want a slave labor force like the one THEY created in China. People that are free to own property, innovate and compete are a terrible nuisance.

For fvck's sake, she said Obama was part of (Cedric Robinson's) Black Radical Traditon. Never looked closely enough into Islamic schools in Africa.

    • @@LimKaamen With all due respect, can you cite where you got this information? There was no CIA, nor OSS (its predecessor) before the Second World War. Also, while your political leanings are none of my business, Marxism is a failed system, as is Capitalism. Both are malignant economic models that create poverty of the spirit as well as poverty of the people. As President Obama said, "Prosperity without freedom is just another form of poverty"-- and that's where the USA is at the moment. Until people of color in this country are accorded full and unfettered economic justice and equal opportunity, this is where we will remain.

Cold war politics and the like are becoming irrelevant in Africa despite continued lies. The continent has been the world's fastest growing region for a long time now. The population is very young (about 70% are 20 years old or younger), and growing fast. Will soon reach and surpass 2 billion! In other respects, how come Communist China bailed out the US bankrupt economy in 2008? I was the in Corporate America working for one of the world's largest bank at that time.

    • It's not as simple as rich vs poor. It's about property relations.

      @NA-ck6cz@NA-ck6cz3 жыл бұрын
    • If it that was indeed all there was to it then the poor/working class would have long ago voted themselves out of poverty, and redistributed wealth by means of taxes etc on the rich, simply because they're in the majority. It is important that the poor are further divided, they cannot act as one politically if you want to maintain the conditions that keep the rich rich. This is why racism is so important for capitalism. Racism and anti blackness in particular, has been in place for so long because many benefit materially from it.. To this day.

The patriarchy, bigotry of all stripes... these are NOT problems at the individual level, but systemic issues across the entire nation... across many nations. We merely suffer the experience of their disease on our societies as individuals.

    • These concepts are deliberately obscured in the English-speaking world. "Working class" means you work for a wage. "Capitalists" are people who own property and collect income from other people working. Scholars and physicians are working class. If you are a landlord, an employer or any sort of moneylender, you are not. Which is not to say that capitalists don't work. Many of them do. But their wealth is mostly taken from others, not from their own labor. You can't get a billion dollars working for a wage.

  • I'm working class - now retired. I spent 41 years working on the railway. My father, grandfathers, uncles, cousins were all miners. I'm 100% pure working class. What has capitalism done for me? It's got me central heating, a car, a telephone, a computer, a telephone, a television, a radio, a microwave cooker, a refrigerator, a freezer, cheap food, foreign holidays and medical advances. All of this was invented/devised by capitalism. Socialism brought nothing. In 1980 West Germans were driving around in Volkswagens, Audis and Mercedes-Benzs. East Germans were driving (if they could get one) Trabants. West Germans were going on holiday in Spain. East Germans were getting shot if they tried to leave the country. Socialist Venezuela has imploded. Socialist Zimbabwe was wrecked by the racist Marxist thug Mugabe and his acolytes. The populace eventually found the soviet union out and the entire lot split up into prosperous countries. The Democratic People's Republic of North Korea as surely a worker's paradise - right? This woman is simply spouting word salad. No socialist country has ever succeeded in serving it's citizens. She won't acknowledge that people are individuals and are different. Some are born to lead and some are born to follow and it was ever thus. All socialism teaches us is to be jealous of success as she is telling us. The millionaires and billionaires that she is quoting didn't get their $$$$s and ££££s by sitting around complaining about other people being rich. As ever she continuously plays the race card. Poor black this and poor black that. Socialism only works for you if you're rich - like Angela Davis. If you're not you're condemned to paying high taxes and enduring a poor standard of living. Socialism removes people's aspirations. What's the point of striving and working hard when there's no reward? Socialism starts with a dream and ends with a riot.
