Best of Porsche 911 GT3 in Rallying 2012 - 2020
The pure sound of a Porsche 911 GT3 on a rally stage is something really special. Thanks to countries like the Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria and to some degree Germany, we can enjoy modern 996 and 997 Porsches which are not only very spectacular but also really fast in the right hands. For example, Ruben Zeltner won the German Rally Championship (DRM) in 2014 and 2015 driving a Porsche 997 GT3 and Patrick Snijers came fourth in the hard-fought Belgian Rally Championship (BRC) 2018.
This is part six of a series of compilations, every Saturday we will take a look back on a specific car in rallying. The series will go on until the restrictions due to COVID-19 are lifted and rallying in Central Europe is possible again. Stay home, stay healthy and enjoy the incredible amount of rally footage on the internet...

Driving a Porsche in rally sounds incredibly difficult. These guys are pretty dope
Actually the AWD c4 is pretty easy to drive fast. I don’t own one but my buddy does. Not sure if your American, but we took it up through the Smokey mountains in North Carolina in the winter and the engine lay out plus the AWD made it more trustworthy than our Subaru WRX. It doesn’t understeer but it doesn’t oversteer unless you want it to. It’s a weird feeling but it’s the reason why a lot of people say Porsche is an amazing car
But these ones in the video are 2wd GT3's. And this means something different, driving those on dirty/wet rallye tracks on the edge than going on a open winter road with a 4S.
@@peterhoelz3521 True but think its an NA engine, so not turbo lag (unless it’s modified), and more weight on the rear tires for grip from the engine placement. If it’s driven correctly then it shouldn’t be inherently harder to drive than any other car, it’ll just take some more getting used to as it’s not like most other cars.
@@griffins5655 Still doesn’t mean it’s easy to drive.
It’s a fast car you can drive the hell out of them any where dirt or street!
I could listen to this all day
Fuckin A 2:13 gave me goosebumps
@@DrMurdercock yea, that corner was perfect. A smooth slide without really any steering correction needed.
Im amazed that they have headroom left for helmets, sitting on those huge brass balls. Just awesome.
the greatest sound from germany love it goos bumps
Having all that weight out back makes it easier to do long drifts and handbrake turns. Spectacular stuff, makes me think the 911 was first designed as a rally racer. There's something beautiful in seeing low-slung cars on long travel suspension bombing down gravel trails.
Nah it oversteers waayy too much for being a good rally car.
0:59 sounds insane
Gregor voice: Porscha doesn't give a fook about damaging mags, look at those beauty's!! Like a every day wheel! Amazing Porsche Corp. One day I will own one.
The noise takes me back to the late 70’s and the invincible Stratos. V6, flat 6, don’t sound hugely different except the 911’s seem to rev higher.
Porsche 911: *expensive sport car* This driver: "Imma do what they call a pro-rally move".
That's what Group B did in 80s.
Bonjour, Magnifique vidéo ! Plaisir des yeux et des oreilles. Pilotes et machines réalisent un merveilleux ballet. Bref...la perfection 👍👏 Cordialement.
Amazing music!!!!
These cars sound excellent....💎
Nuts. Crazy people. But its the only thing that i watch from the Rally Sport. Spectacular, old School Cool driving and awesome Sound!
Magnifique la porches 👍🔥🔥🔥
Great Video.. Great Job..
sehr schön
Unfortunately the 911 seems way too big for rally. The rear engine must add a lot of complexity in term of trajectory. However, it's an amazing racetrack car.
Dope 996
Der Ruben hat's einfach drauf
Wie kann mann mit so schönen Autos so umgehen. Von JJE Germany. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

What countries do most of these races take place?
In this video most of the clips are from Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic. But rallies take place all over the globe in most countries. Just usually not with Porsche GT3s on the line 😅
If i was dying and was able to have one wish granted, it would to drive one of thse
1:47 Stradman's Porsche

exhaust 8:27 :o
Get me outta this ditch you guys please, now get outta my way please
1:22 1:58 what beauties
Bist du deppert. Da muss man echt Eier haben. 👍🚙💨
Cant beat N/A
If I had to rally with a Porsche , it would be a Caymen and not a 911
Cayman. Not sure the mid/rear engine would be better in terms of weight distribution, the heavy rear of the 911 probably helps take sharp turns (I'm no rally specialist though)
@@MrJef06 also it helps the traction
медленные черепахи против wrc!
I find if funny how people claim Porsches are great rally cars when 99.9% of the ralley is done on paved roads. When anything off road or loose terrain a Subaru would destroy them. There AWD is not meant for conditions like what a Subaru AWD can efficiently go through.
But Subaru drive the same roads😂. Rally is not about offroad, like rally raid - as I remember, there is no raid Subaru at all)).
Rally doesn't mean dirt or off road. Rally means it's multi stage on public roads.
Porsche has raced in rallies all the time....just check out the exploits of 911 SC in the 70s and 80s (including Dakar and Safari Rallies), as well as group N GT3s as seen here (RWD). I cannot think of a more ubiquitous sports car than the 911!
These rally drivers are all so composed, I don't see a flat-out and heavy jumps...
Кто от булкина?)
My Cooper does better , not a great set up for rallying , not much suspension travel due to geometry , too skittery
