  • The Blues as the King knew them, were nothing short of pure poetry in motion. BB is gone, SRV is gone, Hell, even Elvis could sing the genre to a different drummer. That's why the Blues are timeless, and limitless, because everyone gets the Blues now and again. A musician /singer/entertainer, always leaves room for another to pick up and pass along the torch. I can't wait to get to Heaven, so that I can meet and greet these ambassadors of good will . Adios

  • John Lee Hooker was an American singer-songwriter and musician who is frequently described as the one greatest blues guitarists in history. One of the most authentic practitioners of Mississippi Delta blues, his distinctive baritone explored themes such as depression, poverty, alcohol and promiscuity. Hooker’s primitive but powerfully timeless songs created a huge impact on rhythm and blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Source: List of Famous Singers

  • I was 16 @ the time of recording, Thnks to my lovely father who played the Hammond (died unfortunately 2 years earlier) and later "stepdad", who played drums in a Jazzband, i realized @ young age what really good music is. Later i was roadie for Lou Rawls for a short moment. So i thank the levitation gods, that i grew up then. And I cherish these tubes i visit.

  • This is what made me pick up a guitar and learn to play it. I found an old hollowbody guitar at a second hand music shop and sat as a teen listening to John Lee Hooker. I found I had that shuffle in me and I was connected instantly. My moma told my papa, let that boy boogie woogie! Cuz its in him and it got to come out.
