  • Funnily enough Don I had to use some P320's today on a Mercedes CL. Some used car lot joker had previously sprayed them with 2K clear. It took me a total of 2 hrs start to finish. 1/2 hr masking them up and 1-1/2 hrs actually restoring them. The customer was very impressed once I had finished, he also told me that I had come highly recommended by someone who's car I did last week. Can't beat word of mouth eh! All down to you my friend. A very big thank you for sharing your videos Don. Regards. Jim, from the UK.

  • What's funny is that, I used that New and improved Meguiars plastX polish, as it was the only available option to me in South Africa, Other things I had to find alternatives were the 3M Trizact pads, just settled for p3000 normal disc, Then I couldn't get Meguiars headlight spray, but here in SA there is a another made for headlights sealant spray called Lens Clear by HB body, so I used that, not sure if it'll last as long as Meguiars, but I guess I'll see. In terms of clarity, its top tier, didn't get any orange peel or funny effects. Using your method I was able to get my headlights looking new again just last week, it was the 1st time I ever used any of the products and tools, but followed your method to the T and thank you for all information, With my lights looking good, other than washing your car frequently, what other things or products can be used to maintain the restoration for a very long time?

  • A-yup, I tried a little hand sanding on my own headlights with 320 grit (it was a pretty rough headlight and my 500 discs were all shot.) I cleaned it up as much as I could with the 800 grit and the Trizect but there's still obvious scratches when you look closely at the headlight. I've also been watching Paint Society and he seems to live by Eagle Abrasives K-grit discs for paint and headlights, and I was curious if you've had any experience with using them on a headlight restoration? Good video.

  • When I use the disc to sand, the surface area of sanding is small and only in the middle of the disc. The drill attachment I use is the one that came with a 3M kit. What do you think it is and/or should I use a different attachement?

    @backyardmedicine5819@backyardmedicine58192 ай бұрын
    • Not sure whatever you're using must not be working correctly the whole pad should be flush something's definitely wrong it should be a flat surface which gives surface contact like a pancake flat and even so if that's going on you have something wrong with defect or something I should try something else...

    @qualitykings3609@qualitykings36092 ай бұрын
    • Yes...I use my fans..(2) on every headlight restoration... Forced are drying...air drying is the best for headlight products because the actual dry from a process calls air exchange and or chemical exchange wich has to do with releasing moisture in the air...more air more drying.... Also helps particles and debris to not fly into the finished product...
