Missed the hot noodle counter on the left of the main food area. In case anyone reading will be going to this lounge, FYI there is a massage chair hidden in the in one of the 3 divider areas, in the back half of the lounge ☺️

ANA and Singapore Airlines are my favorite. Even economy feels like Business/1st compared to US carriers. They actually believe and pride themselves in providing excellent service.

I flew to Japan from NYC on Japan Airlines, coach class, but it was excellent! Thai Airways Business class was also fantastic.
Great ending with you cruising the neighbourhood without a helmet and holding a phone with one hand. True representation of life back home in Saigon 😂

Ana had some of the smallest seats of any airline I've been on. I had premium economy seats and it was still very cramped on the flight to Japan, and the food was okish...but they did do extremely heavy pours on all their mixed drinks so it helped me fall asleep and forget i was uncomfortable

I haven't been on a plane in 20 years and sometime in 2024 I'm getting on one to fly home to Hawaii to retire, and ANA is now officially at the top of my list of airlines I'd like to fly with. And I plan to go business class if not first class.
Good for you! I’m also retiring next year so I guess we have something in common. The flight Sonny took clearly had older than normal seats compared to other ANA flights, so It would probably be useful to check if the latest configuration would be available. When you book with ANA, they would always indicate the type of plane and the seating. I would avoid any code shared flights. Cheers.
I thought for sure you were talking about the Street Food Challenge seafood in Yucatán. That ceviche (and a few other of those setups) made me very nervous... but watching you I thought: "Huh. Welp....what do I know. I mean...I wouldn't eat it but I guess he'll be fine.".

You only lost 6 pounds from ceviche?! I had some at Playa Los Pulpos in the afternoon and lost THIRTY pounds in the next 7 days- genuinely almost died there! But then I didn't have gastrointestinal issues for about 9 years after lmao

That is not halibut.
LOL, somebody else commented on this as well, and you are very reasonable to question it based on the appearance for sure, BUT... I think it may actually be halibut. Google "Halibut Steak", the skin and shape can match well, and I bet that sauce Sonny's is swimming in has just saturated and colored the meat.
@@bengtal I thought halibut was a flat fish, the section of the one in the video seems much closer to the one of a streamlined species. Googling halibut steak I mostly see chunks form either fillet of the fish but now a complete body section. It could still be a halibut but a very young one perhaps? PS: halibut has a white side, the two skin sides of the one in the video have the same colour.
@@martinzilli9768 for sure Martin, I definitely see what you mean and I am by no means sure myself! When you google, look for any pictures that are the same type of cut as this, and with the skin. Halibut looks to be mottled-grayish skin too, and I guess they can get big enough to produce a steak like that, although usually they are prepared to a more flakey-white and without skin. I agree with your original observation though... this does not look like any halibut we are used to seeing at least..... airplane food 😳😬

I have been to the ANA lounge many times in Tokyo and you missed getting ramen and/or the chicken bowl at the hot food bar.

not bad! when i flew Ana economy to tokyo we got salmon flakes with white rice and some other sides.. it was honestly very good, WAY better than anything i got flying inside U.S.

If you were at Narita, they should have a ramen bar at the lounge. Felt pretty unique for a lounge. Recommend trying it next time!
