We met Sonny and Hoa on this cruise. Extremely nice couple, friendly, approachable, and funny! I had never heard of him prior but watching this video…he is very genuine and very much like this in person. Congrats on your success and it was a pleasure meeting you both and hanging out with the penguins!!
$40,000 is a lot of money
You’ve been missing out! I’ve never met him but Sonny is one helluva dude. His culinary exposure and experience in his videos are second to none. Hope you enjoy his content from here on. Happy eating!
He and Mark weins are the best Food Vloggers on the planet.About half the world who watch KZhead know them, they are the very best of the best.
Gaining more and more info about his wife every video
What a nice comment. 😊
I bet Sonny is the only person to ever go to that fine dining restaurant with a bandana on
That's what I was thinking, too. With his puffy vest. 😂 He needs to show off his results from the hair plugs.
thats his trademark
lol
9:08 THANK YOU sound editor!!
For many people this is a once in a lifetime experience.
forget the main channel... this channel is max sonny humor ! and the fly in the stock vid is amazing
Agreed! This channel is better haha
Agreed, this channel is way more fun and enjoyable.
I agree. Hes completely himself on this channel, raw and uncut and its fun lol
main channel for education, second channel for entertainment
wrgg
Who else can't believe he paid $40,000 for this?!
80k with her thats a nice car or even 1/6 of a nice house
He got it sponsored clearly for making this video
Its free and even if he did he can write it off as a business expense
Clearly KZhead plays well.
It worth it in my opinion
I worked offshore for 8 years pretty much all maritime crew and galley staff were Filipino. They keep the maritime world running and are some of the hardest working people I have been lucky enough to work next to. I wish the industry would treat them the way they deserve, instead of a cheap captive labour force. We used to do 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. I could go home between multiple shifts working with the same Filipinos that may have been onboard for up to a year without a break. Offshore it's 12 hours a day 7 days a week no days off.
That' doesn't sound very nice
I have been on other cruises where majority of staff were Filipino. Genuinely nice, kind, considerate ❤
@@colleenbrookes-gain6662no laws in international waters to protect them. They depend on tipes.
Agreed, gave my Filipino room attendant on my last royal Caribbean cruise 400$ (same ain't as the cruise fare per person) he deserved ever last bit of it.
@@theoniii when I do cruise believe me I know how to tip; anywhere anytime not just cruise I know how to tip. I think about 20% but also what can they buy with my tip. Minimum I do is $5 maximum depends on how I feel🤣 I once tipped a guy $100 for $40 meal cause I feel I should. The restaurant didn’t give it to him so I had to go back and confirm it wasn’t a mistake
Him and his wife are on an never ending honeymoon. Man is living the life every man wants
Looks fantastic but $40,000 USD is around $54,000 Canadian. Two tickets would darn near pay off my mortgage.
Sounds overpriced tbh
No wonder he is gaining so much weight. If I paid that kind of money too they would have to find a crane to get me off that ship at the end.
Yeah seem so crazy to think about! Like did he get a 30 mortgage to pay for it? lol
Where did you get a 100k house LOL
@@MRlebellion its cause there are only 240 people on that cruise ship. its basically as cruise for rich people. he explains it well at the very last 30 seconds. i def cant afford unless i cant ditch my bills for a couple years.
so you're already paying $40,000 per person and then have the audacity to charge you for something on that ship i would expect everything to be free after paying $40,000
I really enjoyed this episode, thank you. I dream of going on a cruise but definitely not to the Antarctica as I already live in Minnesota and despise the cold! I enjoyed the high end cruise and the beautiful menu options! I would love to see more of the cruise venue episodes!
Been on 28 cruises in my life. They are awesome and some are inexpensive.
Yep. This is one of those moments where I would say it's worth it. You're on a luxury cruise. Going to the Antarctic. Generally only science vessels go there.
The *cruise ship employees getting the ice* had me crackin so much LOL and that employee got left behind LOL
I was laughing out loud at that in my room! Sonny and his video editors are hilarious. I love it when his videos crack me up, love his channel.
He needed glacier ice for his Jack Daniels, it was for a good cause
I only mix my Jack on glacier rocks@@jenniferearl1170
Jfc calm tf down
For $40k each person. I believe it!
Thanks for taking us with you (in this video), because some of us could never even think about something such as this. 🙂
+1
“Sounds like my tinder profile years ago” 😂😂😂 im dead! He’s so funny ! Subscribed lol
40k my goodness
You the know the fried rice was not great when he said “luckily i have some soya sauce “😂
Müsli is widespread in Germany too and it is definitely NOt pre-soaked in milk 😂 I can only assume the wait staff misunderstood the assignment. Of course you only add the milk only when you start eating. Müsli makes you regular and counteracts an overload of protein.
Mainly EU musli is wide known
overload of protein? does that even exist :D
common in sweden as well
I learned all about müsli when I was taking German in middle school, I can’t believe Sonny (a food guy) said he had no clue what it was 😂
add yoghurt and a dash of milk its much better. thats how most eat in sweden.
they have another cruise option from one pole to the other which cost $131,900 per guest and takes 4 months
Wow! 😮😮
Yes, the rich truly suck!
Now that sounds like a better deal to me.
Yea now we are talking 4 months to get as fat as possible and die of heart failure. But I guess it's a bargain compared to 40k for 2 weeks.
@@cakesnipher7024buy it then buddy, or ur just talking out of ur ass ?😂
wow-!! this cruise is on my bucket list. Thanks for showing us the experience. There is another line that goes to the North Pole. I would like to see that one too-🥰
This channel is peak "feel good" content. Thank you!
Loved all the “unseasoned” jokes 😂
Right his reaction like yeah probably not no white food for me 😂😂
@@mr.fluffyham"wyte peepo don season they rivers"
To be fair, high quality foods have minimal seasoning, you wouldn't add a lot of spices to A5 Kobe beef, the natural flavor and quality should shine
wrrr
@17:26 We Finally Get To See The Back Of Sonny's Wife's Head! LOL
i said the same thing like wow this is the closest thing we will get to see of his wife! confirmed shes asian hahaha
There is actually a video, where you see her whole face in a clear reflection.
@@gnohcrol2399 Sonny has mentioned multiple times that she is Vietnamese
@@gnohcrol2399and that her taste in attire is amazing.
you can also see her back when her and Sonny jump into the water at the very beginning of the video.
I love the lady standing on the side waiting for him to finish his promo. So polite!
Man goes on a 100k cruise and dresses like the karate kid 😅
Antartica is a mysterious continent. We thank you for taking us along with you.
Cara and Nate have a more detailed videos of this Cruise
@@achrefwazzen8926😊😊😊😊😊😅😊😊😊😊😊
@@achrefwazzen8926 I think most of us are here because Sonny is presenting it.
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing your experience.
I havent watched sonny in a while but im surprised and happy to see he is looking healthier and leaner! =) awesome buddy wishing you safe and wonderful trips with the wife!
needed this kinda video, this kinda time, this kinda guy. thanks for the videos when folks need small things 😊
wow the diff when she was your guide " giggly you so funny and cute to now married " honey can i eat this -no " is funny but i am happy for you both
Do you remember which video when she was still his guide?
4:06 that isn't English bacon...... that's just a slice of gammon lol 🤣
Same shit
it's really not @@TheKingOfBeans
@@TheKingOfBeans IKR!! It's just fried ham. 🤣
It looks like they cut the "tail" of English bacon off and cooked it separately and served it as the American bacon. Could be completely wrong but both the English and the American bacon looks like so
English bacon is basically a little bit of American bacon the belly then Canadian bacon the round bit it looks nothing like this @@XxXJOHNYB0YXxX
Wow, this adventure looks absolutely incredible! The food, the scenery, and the whole experience of cruising to Antarctica is just out of this world. I can't believe the variety and quality of meals you got to enjoy in such a remote and stunning location. It really goes to show how luxurious and unforgettable a trip like this can be. Thanks for sharing this journey with us; it felt like I was right there with you, exploring and tasting everything. 🍽
Glad you made time to spend time together . Loved the gravy eating out of gravy boat
I'm just taking a moment to applaud Sonny for consuming half an eggs Benedict in a single bite! Wealth makes one terribly famished🤣
Wow just THANKFUL to see you all have a BLESSED 🙌 time to show us what $ looks like.
God bless you man, whenever am down your videos help me through
At $40,000 per person, you could almost say the trip was...polarizing...
Without paying for a cruise good luck getting it that cheap. Especially with amenities and excursions. I worked with someone who is retired at a bike shop and they paid $120,000 to go take pictures with penguins in Antarctica. So it’s really not that polarizing. It’s the cheapest way to the hardest place to access in the world.
Ba-dum-tish! 😂
he is packing!
Booooo!
then why not just pay for a cruise on those huge mega big cruise ships by MSC or Norwegian? They go to Antartica, and is cheaper? @@bochapman1058
These videos are always fun to watch
Unbelievable that Sony has not heard of Musili ... man that is such a common breakfast all over the world 😅
The thrid niceist room there still realy nice, wonder wot the 2nd & 1st nicer rooms are like?
Brave jumping into that water! That wildlife is cool and the scenery and food looks amazing! Have a great trip! 😊
is you're beautifle wife the one recording if so, she is good at her job, you are truly blessed.
I was planning my trip to Antarctica; thanks for the video. :)
OMG THIS IS MY FAV CHANNEL EVER AND CURRENTLY IVE BEEN ON THE SILVER SPIRIT AND CANT BELIEVE I WASNT THERE TO MEET YOU SONNY!!!!!!!!
19:47 I like how sonny eats using hands in a fine dining restaurant.
If you pay $40k/head I guess its ok to eat with your fingers and dress like a motorcycle mechanic.
If u r a billionaire and u use u r hands in the best restaurant in the world no one would ever say anything.
I think he gets that from India and never gone back
Idk who you are, like former chef or something, but so entertaining!!
I manifest to experience something like this in the future. Soooo happy for you sonny, more blessings ❤
Thank you for the tour ! And experience ! Since I don’t think I’d be able to go on one of these lmaoo
Your hard work has paid off… enjoy yourself.
Saying that he does hard work is an insult to all Chinese and Indian children who makes your IPhone
I would pay for my whole family to go on this cruise... worth every dollar in my eyes... thanks Sonny🖤💚💛
I think the value in this cruise is not the accommodation or the food, it’s where the cruise is sailing. That’s quite a cruise.
Another amazing video. The best Antarctica vlog I've seen by far. Thank you
Hey sunny, love your vídeos, I grew um between austria, mexico, US and where I feel the most at home now, Brasil, would love to see you visit.
I need you guys to be my travel buddies 😂 never a dull moment
Sonny you should do a review of Disney cruise next!
Everyone complaining about the price 😂 it’s a cruise ship to Antarctica, one of the remotest places on earth. It’s clearly for the rich. Just like climbing Mount Everest which is similar in price
The cost of fuel alone...
We went for 20k for 2 people... You can get there affordably
Then why not just take Celebrity or NCL to Antartica?
Not just a cruise trip where you just stay on a boat, you get to go down the ice and probably see some penguins.
The people who make it to Antarctica are exclusive bunch, you either got to have excess money or a scientist. Normal cruise ship can't go through the drake passage as the sea can be very rough, and the danger of hitting iceberg is real so they have smaller ship (icebreaker?). Glad to see Sonny got to live it up and enjoy a nice honeymoon with his wife. But maybe help people who are in need with their extra money instead of wasting it on such a short trip (kids in mountainous region, poor people in Vietnam). BTW, I do enjoy this new channel more, there's an edge to it.
Thanks for great content Sonny.
Can't wait for the next video. Ive dreamed of visiting Antarctica since I was a kid but thought that I missed my chance because I didn't because a scientist...this brings that dream closer into the realm of possibility...now to find an extra 40k 😅
that breakfast buffet looked so subpar for a luxury cruiseline like silversea. I went to Antarctica in Dec 2022 (Christmas) with Hurtigruten (a lot more affordable) and the food was 10x better
Thanks for letting us see this trip through your eyes Sonny, it's awesome!
the logistics of keep the fruit and veggies fresh on a 2 week cruise -- it would be really cool to interview the head chef and kitchen manager etc. really cool!
I loved the bit about the crew getting the ice 😂 and the one eho got left behind hahahaha
The scenes inserted for the employees getting ice was amazing hahaha
UK bacon is part loin and part belly. American bacon is all belly (called streaky bacon in the UK) Muesli is basically a unbaked version of granola often with less sugar. Most granola's in the UK have been baked with a coating of added sugar, honey or maple/syrup.
It was Birchermüsli though
🤓
Is there anything in UK you wouldn't coat with sugar?
@@stephanbl5212 Actually there is far less foods coated in sugar (and all other derivatives of sugar) than the US. But taking granola as an example, there are types without sugar and types with. Another example is Froot Loops UK: 39g serving = 9.75g sugar, US: 39g serving = 12g
He almost tried every bug on the planet but doesn't know Müsli xD
i think i've watched this video more than twice. i stopped countinig. it's just relaxing and stress-relieving. do more of these.
I remember watching your first episodes and haven't missed one since. Look at you now!! Congratulations, you've come a long way. 👏
Perfect timing :) Lunch time!
The *cruise employees getting the ice* part cracked me the f up LOL. Sick vid, sick destination, hilarious as usual 🖖
The red headband is precious ❤!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I assume they have laundry service onboard.
Antarctica... The final frontier... With this BEFRS has hit every continent in the world, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I never know Cruise ship food makes me hungry at all watching in this video 🤤👍
Love your videos......2 extremes....u the real deal ....❤❤❤❤
Worth it. Most people have no idea what things really cost on the business side. Bucket list.
I'll be honest, I'm not usually someone who either likes or comments on videos (i know i should be better) but this video was so cool not only am i doing that, I'm sending the video link to my dad and my grandparents who go on crazy expensive cruises all year! Love the vids man, and I'm glad you got the opportunity to go on this adventure!
What a wild adventure ‼️👍Thanks Sonny🇨🇦❤️
He woke up that day and told before going to work and questioned himself when he would ever get a holiday 😅
No way in hell sonny paid $80k for this cruise. It was a freebie.
This is the best episode ever Sonny!!
Loved watching this
Brilliant! Rarest cruise in the world! Think about Shackleton and crew when you reach Georgia. They had to eat their sled dogs!
I am so hyped about the Antarctica vlogs!! 40k$ is a lot of money but let's be honest - it is a once in a lifetime experience!
Love these videos! So funny and entertaining.
Love your content. I have to say this doesn't look like an expensive cruise at all.
For that amount of money I would be disappointed.
I used to work for USAP at McMurdo. The food there was outstanding, to the extent that dinner was something I'd look forward to all day.
Dude doing the video is great, love the humor. I can't afford this cruise so thanks for sharing.
Lmao his review of breakfast was funny af… and $80K for this cruise is even more funnier!
I'd gladly go on such a cruise😍
me too
Yeah, I'm so jealous. Ive always wanted to see Antarctica.
Damn! No wonder it's 40K! Living the big life!
Ur poor so ofc u think this is good by only seeing the price tag, clearly uve never spent alot on these types of trips lmao, u can get a better experience for 10-20 k usd per person, 40k usd for 1 is dumb af especially with the shttiest internet ull ever see lmao
CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL YOUR SUCCESS!!!
Did you know that the Drake Passage is one of the most dangerous bodies of water in the world? I was reading an article on it the day before I saw your video. It is where the Pacific, Atlantic and Southern oceans converge. One of the reasons the Drake Passage is so rough is due to the vast volume of water travelling through this bottleneck. Just a fyi and probably a great read into the Drake Passage.
His uncouth demeanor makes me feel like im watching an everyday Joe six pack on a luxury cruise. Which has a certain charm. Cheers 🍻
Lol.
They are selling world cruise tickets for the exact same price. We're talking a 9 month cruise around the world, and all you are getting for that price is two weeks? That's insane. Who would pay that much for two weeks?
Bored millionaires
@@FLOPPYBAKER NaCl
Where are they selling that?
@@burgerkang3249salty?
What an adventure! I always choose the same foods, it would be fun to eat different types of foods each day.
Eager to see part two!
South Georgia Island is where Ernest Shackleton ( explorer of the Antartica early 1900's ) started his expedition on the ship "Endurance". Unbelievable story of ENDURANCE !!!!! It's not a boat Sonny, she's a ship. 🇨🇦
It's Worth it. I worked in a cruise before. Each staff has to work almost 10 - 12 hours a day without a day off for 3 weeks. They only allowed shore leaves when docking, if the staff on good behaviour. Of course, they also get a handsome salary too. The accumulated leaves will earn a month or two to go back home to their own country. There are pros and cons working on cruises especially hard for married people. 😅
I'm looking forward to the next video! 👍👍👍
Totally loved the employees foraging for ice scene.
I'm just glad he can reap the rewards for all the pleasure he has brought with his videos!!
i used to work in a ship and Antarctica is our venue.. November is summer in Antarctica.. i missed it..
