At 2:23, he has the objectively incorrect steering technique. A few seconds later, he even lets go of the steering wheel.

a=g*tan(theta), 30degree -> 0.58g, 45 degree -> 1g, 60 degree = 1.7g

That's centrifugal force
keep an eye on the key hanging off the ignition, it gives you a good clue to the G forces, braking, left and right G.

Those Burg taxi drivers are something else. He’s sitting up there talking his passengers through the track and the lines, while the GTS driver is no doubt at his limits simply trying to keep up with the m5’s pace. Awesome.
The taxi driver is Sabine Schmidt and she's not your regular douchebag on a mustang.
@@IgorMAssis I have some doubts about it. If this is really Sabine, she doesn't know or doesn't want to drive best racing line. This M5 is way off perfect line on multiple occasions. GTS driver drives a lot better and tighter. But I could see why driving gts precisely would be far easier than M5, due to gts's great response to steering input, while M5 is no doubts a lot more "wobbly".
@@cnc_channel510 Just did some googling and she retired from the ring taxi back in 2011 but it has got to be someone with pro level skills. Ring taxis take regular folks for a ride but it's no wonder they wouldn't push it to the limit and they wouldn't want an average person throwing up in the car. lol

Those M5's are rapid, pulling on the M3 GTS with 2 extra passengers, but this is one of the best lap videos I have ever seen.

I have an F10 M5, the torque is insane. The way it pulls from 60 to 100+ feels like how most sports cars launch off the line.

thats because hands get slippery due to adrenaline, couz of sweat, and maybe u get hurt by holding the steering wheel tight all the time in the same position . So he is clever using gloves
The only reason why racing driver wear gloves is that it protect them from fire if the car catch fire. Those gloves will not protect you from fire it will probably fuse with your hand if it get too hot

Very young owner, only used on the Nordschleife and in the Alps, German highway too but never under 300km/h 😜

No matter how hard that M3 accelerates that M5 just keeps pulling away.
You rite, but if I am not wrong... Hearing the sound of the engine sometimes I think that M3 driver change little to fast the gear or at least so sounds to me that sometimes he doesn't stretch enough before changing...
@@laurentiubute4760 stretch the gear all out isnt that usable everytime...torque goes down on the end of a speed band...so you dont go rev limiter everytime...plus the m5 has more power plus the m5 is turbocharged while the m3 is still naturally aspirated i guess, and if it is...then the m3 is much more impressive...
nah it slowed downed and braked and would get on the left side preventing the m3 from passing! it was intentional

I've watched a lot of Nordschleife videos and this is definitely one of the more intense ones I've seen. Fantastic driving!
This was a crazy race. The sound this M3 makes and the ultra smooth gear shifts truly confirm why BMWs are speed machines. And that white M5 with stripes, gorgeous looking thing and incredible fast, tbh I didn't expect it to hang so well on the curves.

@@thedailydrifter873 No, infact you're wrong. The fastest official M5 f10 lap is 7:55 meanwhile the fastest flying lap with an m3 gts is 7:48. It's not all about weight and power, a lighter car will always have an easier time going around corners. Happy Easter!

Let's not forget - the M5 has 4 passengers in it. The M5 taxi drivers are not going all out. GTS vs M5 F10 drivers only and the M5 would simply run away from the GTS. great video nevertheless but not comparing like for like...
not forget m5 weights 2000kg and has 560HP and m3 weights 1500 and has 450HP
The M5 is braking as hard as it can. Notice how it triggers the hazard lights every time it brakes.
I noticed thst too, but it's worth noting that the M3 sounds like it's using ceramics 4:29 ... or the pads are on the limit.

This is without a doubt the best video, best driving, best audio it captures road noise, tire noise, engine revs and exhaust let's not forget camera angle, this video is reminiscent of the iconic car chase in movie Bullet 👍
if you ever actually listened to the not "iconic" car chase (s) on Bullitt (not Bullet) you would see/hear that in many cases the engine sounds and gear changes did not match the cars movement . So I'll have to call complete bullshit on this post. Nice try though. And in no way, shape or form can you compare 2 M cars to a Charger and a Mustang. It's like comparing a Kentucky Derby winner to a pony....................

Sounds incredible..., Never thought you should be able to take the M5 on the straits, but maybe pass him just before some corner..., Incredible to se this big M5 with 4 people to almost hold you back..., GTS must weight around 300 kg less then the M5? I'm about bying either an m3 v8 and maybe Ess convert it or buy the M5 F10, and look for some exhaust "Meistershaft" sounds good, and AMS dp and perhaps some tune... So incredible nice vid..., the pulse get up duble compered to normal... :) Bless
It's not slow trough corners eithers. Seems like it goes trough corners at about the same pace as the M3, and exits as good as well. It loses time on corner entires mostly.

Don't forget the M5 is driven by professional race drivers and instructors who have driven probably thousands of laps on the NOS. :)

Epic....loved it. Great driving, and did not realize how raw the GTS is. I was fortunate to drive the ring once during slow speed M-Corsa event in 2012 in the F10 M5....great experience!

Since I accepted many people as passenger this year, I'm considering to offer Taxi Drives for about 50€ next year This is peanuts, but just for the passenger to participate to the cost of the lap...

It would take some planing for the Nurburgring is some 1200 km from Belgrade, but I'm definetly coming in spring or summer. The GTS are very light and it's made for track, but the ring' taxi still managed to fly away in some corner. Nice driving for both cars!

Needless to say the driver is of an extremely high caliber and certainly gave the ring taxi a run for its money! As I said... Great Video!

***** Well, it depends on what you consider "way faster". This lap is about 8:40 BTG, with a little bit of traffic, but nothing major, so it would be about 9:10 for the full lap, and M3 GTS can easily do a 7:50 full lap.
