I am not trying to be kiss A- - but there is a marketable difference between you and other pet groomers, there is this one (blank) where most of the dogs shake uncontrollably with fear, most of her dogs are restrained and Muzzled quite harshly I find it quite amazing how much control you have over the dogs by taking a much different simpler approach

The Havanese is a Bichon Tenerife. One migration of this breed was to Cuba. ( silky ) Another migration was to Europe. ( curly look ) Teddy, a curly says, "Yer a big baby Cody" I love a bath, even a shower."

I taken my havanese to over 6 different dog groomers and he is just traumatized so I decided with the last one that I would never have another groomer unless is the one he had since he was a baby, but she had to stop working in my area and had to leave 😢

Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I am looking into the Havanese breed and grooming is a big factor. Having the knowledge to do this 'puppy cut' will go a long way towards my decision. I am a little disappointed that you didn't show grooming the tail though???

Did you have any issues with potty training? I got my Havanese when she was 5 months old, from a breeder. She will be 2 in November and she STILL pees in the house. She has recently started pooping in the house. I have never had a problem potty training my dogs but this one has been horrible. She's so darn adorable though and I will never get rid of her.
@@susanhildreth1531 I can feel your pain, our Havanese was fully house-trained only at almost 18months. We got her at 4 months… It makes sense that it takes longer, since nobody taught them any better. Also the bichons in general are notorious for their reluctance. I have had many dogs myself and never any problems but my little Havanese taught me otherwise. All you can do is to stay consistent, I literally checked how long she can go and then took her out accordingly. First every two hours, then every three and now she needs to go out 4x a day, it’s a relief 😅. Hang in there, you can do it!
@alinefaure3646 She's getting better. She will be 2 tomorrow and the only time she pees in the house is when I'm on the phone for work and can't get off the call. She will poop in my room if I don't close doors.

Even though you filmed this over a year ago - it still works! I followed every step and groomed my Havanese today. The previous groomer did not leave a good "pattern" and I will have to allow hair to grow out on the beard/muzzle to give it a better shape however, your techniques are spot on. Thank you sooo much for your detailed video.

Aww that dog looks like my dog because they are the same breed and have the same fur colors!
Im not sure where you are located but i could only hope somewhere in or near Colorado. I am switching groomers, again. I find one I love then they either move or hand off my dogs to the groomer in training. I understand groomers need to learn but I'm not happy when my dogs come home looking butchered, dirty ears, partial nails trimmed. So frustrating. You look like you really care for your clients and do a wonderful job.
How is the hair around his mouth kept so white? Usually it is all discolored. Also nice that he does not have tear stains. FYI to everyone, tear stains tend to disappear if dog is on a species appropriate, carnivore diet vs. an American kibble with excess copper, iron and all the bad ingredients Not only is a premium, carnivore, fresh, human grade diet more nutritious and without the waste from the human food chain, it sets up the species appropriate flora in the GI tract, mouth, sinuses, etc. This dog is beautiful.

I have the WORST time with my dogs legs! They end up looking like chicken legs or ragged. They never look smooth. Is part of that the backwards brushing and combing?
