A few things to keep in mind: the champion is as fast as the adder. Not super fast, but still a fast car. It also handles really well. The Buffalo is actually faster than the champion, as per broughy's testing. The airport is more smooth so you don't get the speed boosts from bumps there. Personally, i use the Buffalo as an rc, it's faster, has better mg placement and can wheelie so is better at chasing people. I use the champion with anti lock on, it has better grip, so it can accelerate better and is better for quick direction changes and throwing stickies at mk2s

when the mounted machine gun is this bad, i refer to it as the horn mk2. it makes npc traffic move slightly more quickly than the regular horn.
The horn makes npc traffic faster?

One _small_ advantage of the Champion over the STX is that once the windows are shot out by NPCs, the Champion's window openings are much smaller than the STX's. So even once the bullet resistant windows are gone, the mobs will hit you less than they would in the STX. Obviously, this only matters if you're doing *a lot* of PvE in these cars.
This. I used the Champion and used my drive-by Mk.2 revolver for the Vagos and barely got hit by them.

The real car the champions based on is so cool. The Aston Martin Victor. Such a sick looking car. I love how they went back to the old V8 Vantage looks. Simply amazing.
Yes. I fell in love with the old V8 Vantage watching 007 The Living Daylights (1987). The Victor is just an epic homage to an epic car, and the Champion actually looks epic. I like how R* stopped being shy about cars and would just outright copy 90% of the car's body and change a few things. I still have my Rapid GT Classic, but if there ever was a "Champion Classic", with both hardtop and Volante variants, I would cream my pants and buy it outright.

It's really cool for just driving around, armor, jammer and speed lets you avoid players that want to fight you
I think the rolls Royce is the best one so far as it's 4 door, heavy so you won't start flying if a rocket hits you, speedy, machine-guns are at headshot level of most cars, and it's the cheapest one. Quite the good setup.

@@FalconFlight747 I'd say no-lock on so you can just not die to mk2s lol, for rc I'm going to put rc on the car I don't care for and I think thats a good idea because I'll only use it for one purpose and will use the ones I like to drive around and I wont't die to missiles. Or buy a second of an already owned car to put rc on if you want to. Second jublie would be cost effective.

@@FalconFlight747 if you got the extra money as it's more expensive, and you like it, you could get it with either upgrade but speaking technically the buffalo is the better buy as it's almost the exact same stats, but cheaper and the machine-guns are higher up so they're more practical than the champions guns. Overall the buffalo is better than it. I haven't bought the diety yet as it's not too different than the paragon as far as looks and and handling goes so I think it's perfect to be an rc as it's fast, not really that unique, and not too expensive.

I wanted to do the sensible thing and bought the Buffalo but couldn’t stop admiring the beautiful sleek elegance of the Champion. So I followed my heart and am now super happy with this extraordinarily stunning car.
It took me long enough to realize but I really enjoy you as a KZheadr cause you don't waste our time like others do.
The nice look of this car plus the customizations got me grinding for it, idc if it’s a little slower than other super cars I want this one too lol
Thank you again for this review! I loved your Buffalo STX review and wanted to buy that car and now seeing that the Champion has similar armour stats I might as well buy both! Imani Tech has to be the best thing added in game for us grinders who play in Public Lobbies. And the armour plating is just the cherry on top of the cake 😍

Feels like they gave this vehicle imani tech to increase the variety of vehicles that can be drivable in today's GTAO climate.
I hope one day we can fit it to everything. Well, except the missile firing vehicles themselves. I'd pay to be able to cruise around in my Ardent without lockons for sure. :P

I truly hope they add some of these upgrades to the bond vehicles like the JB700W it already has slicks/spikes front mounted guns but needs the bullet proof windows to become useful also give it a few rocket resistance. I have all the Bond influenced vehicles in the game but shame that most of them have no abilities :( he's to hopping they make new versions

the car is modelled after the Aston Martin Victor which 1 was only ever made. Gotta say it’s one of the best looking cars IMO and the armour and anti-lock only adds to it

to be fair for free roam this is a really nice car to drive in, its preppy and basically griefer proof lol
Racing has diminished a lot in GTA. There's no point in needing to own the fastest supercar now, because most of the time you're playing free roam. I get it that you need a fast car for a race, but races themselves aren't as big as they were in 2014 and 2015. Payouts are trash, and there's a lot of other stuff to do.

I bought it on release day for 3 mil and when testing it I could have sworn it was another Itali RSX like "sports car." Very slow for super and definitely disappointing for its price. I had no clue it could take 11 missiles though, I was under the impression that it was the same as the Baller Armored and Shafter Armored.
The only reason why I really bought it was for the look, and also make it an R/C trolling car. My Buffalo on the other hand is definitely going to be my grinding for money car completely. So missile jammer, armor, and slicks. Don't want the machine guns though could care less about those.
The itali rsx is just as fast as the pariah but much more stable which makes it very competitive in races unlike the champion.

The Itali RSX has an excellent top-speed for the Sports class. Inferior to the Pariah, but it's top 5 iirc.
@@AdamSchadow The Pariah is stable if you put the right custom wheels on it for rear traction bias. Both the Pariah and RSX lose to the GTO on a balanced track, though.
I knew when I bought this car it wasn't going to be part of the top pack in terms for racing but I still enjoy using this car in general. Especially throwing in into corners
The one thing that really me about this car is the fact that the armored plate on the right side are a darker color than on the left. I dont know how i managed to notice it but yea
A fast and well-handling super car with explosive armour, bullet resistant glass and slick mines would become a griefer tool, so I'm not too mad that it is not super fast or that it flips if you as much as look at it wrong. (Yes I do own it, it still looks cool. But I wish I could armour up the ignus instead since it already looks like a Tumbler.)

I bought this and it might now be the fastest car it's still fun to drive imo. I'm just glad to have a nice decently quick armored super car to drive around and not have to worry about getting blown up. I play in free aim lobbies so no aim bot 👌🏼

In terms of performance if u wheelie with the new buffalo it smokes every car in a straight line. Thats how good the wherlie is
Yes, the Champion isn't the fastest, but I like how the back end slides around very nicely to get around corners if you ease off the throttle into the corner and then accelerate out. For me, what's more important in free mode is how much I like the handling, and the top speed. 124mph is not great, but it's not really slow, either. All said I really like it.
When it's about fun, nothing is more fun to drive for me than my street blazer in the city

I bought Champion even though I knew it wasn't great at all performance-wise, but it still looked cool. Besides, I really didn't like that Franklin owns the new Buffalo STX too and stores it inside the first floor of the garage for show-offs, making it look like a copycat if I ever bought one...

Although the Champion’s machine guns are low to the ground, it can be very good as an RC car. When you ram someone, you can melt them down with the MGs while they’re trying to get back up.

Despite being only a civvie super car, i’ll stick with the tezeract. I think it has the highest speed of all the super cars which you can further increase.
To be fair, armored cars SHOULD be heavier/slower. I got the buffalo and the patriot with Imani tech. I highly recommend the patriot mil spec because it has very little window space. You can fully get rid of the back windows by adding a new flatbed to it. I feel secure in the patriot.
Champion is a 1 off aston martin irl and looks super unique. I was perfectly fine paying 3 mil for it.
Ima finna turn this car into a James Bond style car. Even though the machine guns are super low.

I adore the Champion. It's my favorite car from the update. I'd hazard to say, however, that the reason it isn't much for performance it the fact that it's based on an Aston Martin. Look, I love Aston Martin with all my heart. Every car they make is always absolutely beautiful. When it comes to performance... it just isn't their game. Yes, I know, the Victor is based upon the Vulcan and One-77 with some Valkrie underpinnings, but considering it also has RWD, a manual transmission, and like many other current Astons is designed for clever downforce while being jaw-droppingly beautiful, it's not really gonna be or is meant to be the fastest thing in the world. It's meant to be a fun-to-drive tribute to the 80s V8 Vantage and the Champion matches that spirit so well. I love throwing this thing sideways around every corner in Los Santos and getting into chases, letting bullets ping off the body and windows as I haul ass through the city streets. Sure, the machine gun placement is a bit odd and disappointing (why didn't they just put them in place of the brights? It would've been the perfect place!) and it does have some glitchy issues (hitbox between the back of the doors and the body has a gap like the Granger, right reverse light glow is in the wrong position, armor on the right side is darker than on the left), but the Champion is an absolute blast to drive, and the out-of-the-box armor & Imani Tech compatability is just the icing on the cake for me.
Aston Martin is the Mustang of the super car world. LOL it knows there are faster cars available out there - but it just smiles that smug little grin knowing when you're this cool you don't need to be the fastest thing on the road to be a badass 😎
the fact alone that the buffalo is a Dodge Charger hellcat makes it worth it, everything else is just icing on the cake
I like using the RC mode because I can finally clap back on people who use RC stuff to mess with me or others while in the lobby. I use it to attack people mid battle too since people do it to me.
Next i'd like to see one for the Deity. Driving it like the average GTA player feels like a sin, it's probably my favourite looking luxury car.

Unfortunate that R* has a track record of keeping vehicle upgrades contained to a dlc. It would be so nice if they added these upgrades to cars in the future/a handful of older cars. Maybe not every single car though. It would give some of the slower/less optimized vehicles a proper use

Well obviously, the champion wouldn't be able to compete with the ignus and kreiger since its a super car that can be modified with armor. Now imagine if that thing had the acceleration of that with the kreigers speed.
The fact that it's worse than a Zentorno and a Buffalo STX speaks proof of it's current quality.
@@Imitationist Not really. It's not a car for speed it's a convenience with the armour, missile jammer etc. Plus it handles better than the Zentorno so you'd go quicker anyway.

@@Imitationist Yep, and the STX is a very good car for the muscle class. Not every super car needs to be lightning quick.

I saw the ingus beat the krieger in an airport race. Forgot who did the test but it was a popular KZheadr. But then the pariah beat the ingus. So idk what the ingus can do but I like it. The Buffalo is amazing. The armored suv is a beast! Hummer of course is amazing (even tho I got shot out of it when backup to someone and I have the slant back roof but he caught me from a side slightly) I wanna buy the champion strictly for it look! It’s such a SiK looking design like jo other. Whereas the Zeno which I heard is broken looks like the damn T-20 at first glance

Yeah Ghillie, that's because you've lowered the suspension. However if you don't do it the machine guns do the job just fine.
Nah I tried with both stock and lowered suspension, doesn’t make a huge difference.
You do need to lower the suspension at least one notch to make the car stable enough to drive. I generally don't lower my cars as the high suspension soaks bumps better, but this one I had to.
To think that these sports car have more armour than tanks, Rockstar logic never fails to amaze
The shotgun shot resistance is a little more complex. Since a shotgun fires multiple pellets, basically a full direct shot would break the glass.
Nah full pellets hitting the glass won’t break it until after about the 7th one.

Is that what I stole last night? I don't think it was a player car but it looked just like that, and after I stole it one player kept chasing me down with his buddy. Thing was OP. I was just trying to run but it was so quick to turn around that it was easy to turn on a dime and hit him with suppressing fire when he'd get out of his car. I was having a blast though i had no idea what was going on. I wonder if it was for a mission or something... the guns were definitely low, but it was handy for causing chaos in the road to throw my tail off.

To be fair we were expecting an armored vehicle not to be as fast as the fastest car in the game. But you should have compared it to more armored cars like the insurgent the other new armored cars and the old luxury armored cars to compare it especially the pierogi R armored.
We know the insurgent and Nightshark tank more missiles. But in terms of speed and handling and bullet protection it would be nice to include those in the comparison with the new vehicles.

There's a glitch with the bullet proof windows on this car. In first person turn around and there is an open section at the top of the back glass (only seen inside) where players and cops can shoot you.

The Kreiger and the Ignus are the fastest Super Cars in-game (Ignus is an all wheel drive I think) and they are just barely ahead of the Champion, also, I think the new Buffalo is also the fastest muscle car (it's either that or the Dominator ASP) and it is an all wheel drive compared to the Rear Wheel Drive of the Champion so I think the Champion is a relatively good car

do you think the suspension effects how easily a vehicle flips over or is it just at what angle the rocket hits the vehicle? I noticed my nightshark flips a lot too.
It’s mainly the vehicles center of gravity and the amount of mass it has. Impact location also plays a part though yeah.
You should keep the Nightshark at stock suspension. It receives no traction bonus for lowering the suspension, and at stock height the MGs can rarely score headshots on other drivers. Stock height also makes it better at off-roading. And it gets bump clipping/absorption from tires with thick sidewalls (e.g. default/tuner/muscle/offroad tires). My NS is at stock suspension with default wheels, and it _never_ rolls over.

you can try putting the Challenger off road wheels or the All Terrain Monster off road wheels Azreal muscle wheels if you feel the body roll is too much, hope it helps

The armor plating on the right side of this car is a shade darker than the left side and IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. I wanted to like it but for that reason only I had to sell it. Can't drive on the streets with such misery.
I think the deity let's you go passive, I have weapons and I could somehow go passive

I bought the stx and equipped lock on jammer with armor plating so even if they manage to hit me i wont go down without a fight. I even managed to kill a mk2 griefer with that combination. He tried to divebomb me and ended up exploding himself. I rammed him like 5 times til he left 🤣🤧

If your driving style involves a lot of curbs and bumps, the Buffalo handles much better in that context.

Any trick in using the oil mines? I have tested them and they seem to be completely useless so far!
I bought one purely for my car collection, it looks incredible. I don’t have any weapons or armor on it, because it ruins the look. I’ll put those things on the Buffalo and on the new Patriot and Granger when they get released.

i like the new weapon lock on jammers it seemed like 2 oppressor MK2 ignored me today and dint even bother attacking me when they knew i was in my new buffalo. im not sure if the icon gave it away but they just flew right by and dint bother.
Not all mk2 are griefers, many are running chores. But if they were griefers and couldn't get a lock on most wouldnt bother trying to get you with ambient explosions or manually aimed shots. They are out for the easy kills, attacking players in normal cars from behind and then running off across the map like good cowards.
@@KimonFrousios i did see them go after a tank but that was when i just joined so i dont know if the tank was killing people or not. alls i know is my tower was surrounded by players in every direction when i joined.
