Evil Mom Leaves Son In Scorching Hot Car. Soon Lives To Regret It.
After Mike's mom picks him up from school, she takes him with her to run some errands. Before she goes into the beauty salon, she tells Mike to stay inside the car. Despite the intense heat, Mike obeys his mother and remains in the vehicle. The high temperature proves to be too much for poor Mike and he suffers heat exhaustion. Luckily, two of his classmates see him locked in the car and immediately call for help.

Probably a couple months in jail, but if she gets divorced the other partner is probably getting full custody of the kids.

What baffles me about this is that their house was just a couple blocks away and she still said she doesn't have time to take him home. Like how long could it have taken to drive home and back, 8-10 minutes tops? She spent triple that extra at the salon.

We had that happen in VA. Father forgot the youngest in the car. Forgot to drop him off at daycare and went to work. They had quite a few kids (like 6 or so). The mother took the eldest on a trip because she was exhausted (the eldest). I think the daughter was doing a lot of the child rearing. It was a big mess and the father got sent down.

So she drives when she is speaking on the phone and drives hands-free. In the UK that can result in instant disqualification! The easiest option would be to take the kid into the salon and wait in the waiting area!
Yeah...this is what I don't get either. Using a phone while driving and texting on one in the UK is illegal, not sure why it is allowed in other countries due to the same propensity for taking attention off the road and causing accidents. And on top of that, she nearly kills her kid by leaving him in a hot car. Sounds like she'd lose her driving licence, parental rights and her freedom all in the same day if she did this in our country.

Talking on the phone while driving in the US is ok to do but I don't like it but it's a free country which is better than having nothing.

The UK is also a highly developed and free country as well and although some people probably still use phones, text away etc whilst driving despite the laws against it, I am glad that they have at least passed a law imposing the illegality of talking on phones in addition to texting etc while driving. Traffic Police also regularly patrol highways (known as Motorways in the UK) looking for people using phones behind the wheel. I reckon that those who text and drive with the mentality that they will never get caught or involved in accident are the ones who often end up causing incidents.
