  • I remember when I first started yoga I thought that poses like Crow and Wheel were the truly challenging aspects of practice; now I know it is holding your attention and focus on your breath throughout. This is an excellent reminder of that even if you are a seasoned yogi(ni). Namaste 🙏🏻

    • *Western people feel alone doing some exercises is yoga. 'Yog' is more about philosophy and very less about physical exercise. Yog is about Hindu philosophy of Ved and Vedanta. Yog is about 'Atman' This is totally cultural appropriation and I object to this hijacking of our sacred culture. These yoga gurus are teaching trash. This is not Yog. Stop this. Dont mislead people*

    • @@subhamoylayek7790 Or things evolve and become other things? No one claimed this was "traditional". You're gatekeeping what is or isn't "yog" and that in itself is about as anti-yoga as you can get. It's about opening your mind and you're closing yours as tight as possible. Relax and let people find what works for them.

    • @@Michael.Darling Some people believe even witchcraft and sorcery work for them. Would then majority of people stop going to physicians? Its our duty to make people aware about the differences. "Yog" is not up for experiments. It is an established discipline, which is India's spiritual wealth of thousands of years. Patanjali wrote 'Yoga Sutra' some thousand years ago. There are numerous authentic documents about yog. We wont let this happen. West is cunningly distorting and trying to dissociate YOG from Hinduism.

  • I just had a baby six months ago and I felt like I didn't even know who I was anymore outside of being a mom. My whole life was different, every moment was occupied with this wonderful new little person, and I didn't recognize my body anymore. I rediscovered this channel a few weeks ago and on a whim decided to jump back into yoga, even though it's been almost 5 years since I did it regularly. Carving out this little pocket of time every evening after the baby is asleep has allowed me to reconnect to both my spirit and my body in such a positive way. I'm not just finding myself again, but I'm learning about the new version of myself that I'm becoming. Thank you so much, Adriene! ❤️

  • This was my first time ever trying yoga. I know it’s not the point, but I couldn’t help but get frustrated with myself… sitting up straight hurt too much, I kept forgetting to focus on my breathing, I just straight up couldn’t get the lunge position or the cat/cow right… but, despite that, I still feel a lot more centered and happy that I took the plunge. I’m sure I’ll improve if I keep trying.

I have been subscribing to your newsletter for ages, even though I've not acted upon them. Today was different. Today I noticed you had a new beginner session, and you said it was a must-do for all. So I dug out my mat in my office and spent ten glorious minutes wondering what I had been hiding from. The answer, always, is the self. I probably tried to do things that were too advanced for me, although I am in pretty good physical condition for my age. I just found this video today as I was talking about your classes to my ELDER brother, partly for him and partly for one of my younger brothers - I am one of 9 children. I think this is a perfect example of a class for a beginner to start off, and I wish it had been there when I had started. I hope you can find the time to put up more for beginners to follow on from this one. Thanks a lot.

John 5:29 21st Century King James Version 29 and shall come forth - they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 8 12 Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:32 21st Century King James Version 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 6 40 And this is the will of Him that sent Me: that every one who seeth the Son and believeth in Him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the Last Day.” Mark 13:13 21st Century King James Version 13 And ye shall be hated by all men for My name’s sake; but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Revelation 14:12 21st Century King James Version 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. John 8 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Mark 13 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.
