@toptier bryan Jiri cant grapple with the best. glover is old and was just exhausted. any 1 of us couch beans could've gotten a scramble over an old exhausted glover. if him and alex fight, it wont go to the ground and alex will flatline him worse than strickland. Jiri is stylistically the perfect matchup for alex. leaves his head wide open and is sloppy. it'd be the easiest win for him and he'll be double champion once more but this time in ufc.

Israel fights so defensively counterstriking while moving back the whole time. Even Alex may have quite a time getting within range. Alex is the most ferocious fighter. I'm glad he won because Israel will now fight someone with very similar physical attributes and he plays the same game.

That's a point, while Pereira still till this day fighting the best kickboxers, Izzy is fighting inferior strikers all this time, Pereira is sharper, Izzy will need to grapple. Remember izzy had over 50 fights when he fought a beginner Poatan, still Izzy lost.
MiddleWeight is lucky there aren't any elite wrestlers and grapplers. Once once Alex meets a fighter that can, it's over. Same for Izzy

I like Alex, but I think Izzy’s loss to him made him stronger and got him where he’s at right now. I think Izzy is in a league of his own. I would cheer for Alex of course, but we need to be realistic. Just my hunch..

I think Alex will struggle with certain styles while he's maturing but as good as izzy is I think he's Taylor made for pereira. Izzys ego won't allow him to grapple and even if he did it remains to be seen who would benefit. My bet is just like in kickboxing izzy will be more aesthetically pleasing but once again Alex will land that left hook again and it'll be all she wrote. His power won't allow izzy to fight his usual calm, methodical approach. Who knows but my money is on poatan 💰
Izzy was nowhere near the top of Glory and most of his KB record is mostly NZ local scene. Alex was the first and only 2 weight Glory champ

But when Izzy fought Alex he had 3 more times the experience and Alex fought on short notice. Not only that but Alex still had problems with alcohol. Like Alex said here, he is the one that is much better and evolved more If and only if we’re taking about striking.
Now imagine if Alex takes izzy down and submits him izzy won’t see that coming.

I agree with Alex beating Izzy, especially with how much it seems to be bothering Izzy. Not a new champ in Welterweight though, Usman would finish those two before the third. They’ll be champs one day I have no doubt about that but currently they’re not ready for Usman.

@@supersaiyansalamence Usman is probably the most overrated fighter of all time. His last fight with colby was arguably a draw and just because stylistically khamzat had problems with burns and fought without a game plan people thing Usman is a heavy favourite. But the guy has been rocked by colby so many times it’s insane. Khamzat hits him once and it’s over. Not to mention both khamzat and Shavkat both will be superior grapplers to Usman
