Good job of tracking there, boys. Way to get her done, and I wish all hunters stuck it out, to find their game like you boys did. The only resource that you might consider in the future is to invest in a good hound dog ( i.e., which can end up specific to the type of quarry being sought). Like a bird dog vs. a bloodhound or a retriever. Well ✔️ done.

Nothing like starting off the hike in post holing. That’s rough stuff to stay motivated through. Awesome hunt for sure. Some dang sweet bears! Super impressed that you guys kept at the trail and tracked the bear down. A lot of people would have given up on it. We’ll earned for sure. Rifle covers are pretty sweet!!
Tons of post holing on the hike in! Definitely lucky we were able to pick up the track on the other side of the creek. I checked that spot a couple times and didn’t see tracks until the 3rd time I checked it. Even then I wasn’t 100% sure they were his tracks until we eventually found more blood

I grew up in the days before bicycle helmets, etc. ..... probably would have a lot better hearing now if I'd used ear protection like these guys! Had to laugh at the potato chips in a baggie; by mid-hunt you could probably eat them thru a straw. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Also, I'd have to fire up a stove for the Ramen.
haha thats why you eat them first day before they are crushed! Hearing protection is always on us now, but growing up we never used it. Hopefully the next generation can learn from our mistakes. Thanks for watching Brian!

The shot was about mid body. Hit liver and maybe clipped some lung.

These guys sure make killing bears look difficult.
Too many bad experiences with the ELDX. They are grenades.
The ELD-X is the best long range bullet ever developed and we've been fortunate enough to take many a animals with them. #1 always beats #2 with number one being shot placement.
@@MuleyFreak Thats a stretch. I'd put the Fed Terminal Ascent in the top spot over a touched up SST any day. Especially for dispatching wounded bears at velocities of 28 to 3000+ feet per second. Glad it worked out, great hunt.
