I’ve done the M56 SULEV valve cover swap on my M54 e60. It’s a relatively easy install. Deleting the old CCV and the rubber gasket are great upgrades especially in cold climates. Note that some aftermarket M56 rubber CCV regulating valves may cause issues and not vent properly causing pressure to build up.
I’ve heard that too. Need to make sure the maintenance parts you replace are working properly. That would be bad to have a defective part and not notice it until something breaks
Get 335i brakes from E9x for the front allows for 348mm rotors and no brackets just a spacer for the rotors.
I have a 04 325i m54 that I’ve been fixing up and making better. Recently I put on an auto 330i rtas and cv axles for the bigger brake upgrade took a b30 cam and swapped it to ms43 to tune it (after finding out we can tune ms45.1) And also I have a b30 I wanna rebuild and a n54 trans to put it Though I need the driveshaft clutch and flywheel but everything so expensive It’s the best most expensive Lego set and I love it And an m56 valve cover cuz it’s cool
Hold the phone! Wait a sec, where did that dipstick tube come from?! I can't seem to find it anywhere when I search. Do you have a part number by any chance? I would love to get the dipstick farther back out of the way. Many thanks!
Good video! I think many of us would love a video on the parts interchangeable between the models. I have been into E46s since 2001. Been into Hondas even before that. I know all the ins and outs of Hondas but never dove very far into BMWs. Also, just for a fun thought exercise, I wanted to discuss my biggest car pet peeve. Big brake kits. Grrrrrrr!! Who came up with this idea that a car with higher HP automatically needs bigger brakes? And more importantly, why do so many people keep repeating this claim?!! Again, just a polite conversation hoping to talk deeper about it and hopefully increase the engagement of this video. I'm glad you listed it as an option, too. Not faulting that! Also, full disclosure. I have a 996 C2. I have access to an extra set of front brake calipers. It would be very easy of an "upgrade" for me but I will never do it. And I track my E46s. So, claiming I'm gainst it for any other reasons isn't valid. My stance is completely objective.
Bigger brakes allow better stopping force and heat dissipation. Not sure why you’re against it. Putting more power in your car without the ability to fully control It, would be like getting wider wheels then slapping the same skinny tires back on it.
pretty good stuff talk about e39s more tho 💯
I know your car is active autowerke stage 2 which is no longer being sold (as far as I know). Do you know of any comparable alternatives?
revmatch motorsport or chaos calibrations
I took a 5-speed ZF manual transmission from an e39 and manual swapped my 330i
How high and wide is your garage to be able to stack up 2 cars?
If I remember right it’s a 12’ ceiling and the lift is 110” and the widest point
Hey awsome video once again! I have a question about the white 330's bbk up front. So I know you have done the m sport 4 piston calipers up front but have you considered getting the correct rotors for it? I know running the m3 csl rotors isint an exact match and I have found this video: kzhead.info/sun/pdZwea-Mm3d9aZ8/bejne.html . I hope you can take a look at it an see if you could test it out and see how that feels?
I’d love to swap out and try some different rotors. Just on a budget at the moment. Building the black car.
I Own a 325ci M56 Sulev car. Please do more content on the engine !! There’s a lot of misconception about it and almost no content on youtube about it !
If I had more time with that engine I would have! I don’t currently own a car with it, but if I ever do I’ll make sure to make loads of content
Hi , last year i installed the metal valve cover ( I Bay for about 200 $) and the M3 cluster but can't find nobody to make the shift lights work (just reset the millage) and i have a 10 miles delay and about 400rpm delay on the clocks , so i running 100 miles per hour on the clock I'm really making 90 ...and the same with the rpm , 3000rpm on the Dial but in reality it's 2600 . Do you know any solution for that ? By the way i have an SMG gearbox on my 330ci . And I'm from Europe.
Talk to revmatch and see what they can do for you!
wait wait. M3 clusters rev up to 9k tho. our E46s rev up to what, 7k max? how would that work?
Your tachometer just wouldn’t rev all the way out. Just like a stock e46 where the tach shows more than the engine will do
@@TenzaMotorsports Plug and Play??? I was told non S54 needed loads of work to use an M3 Cluster??
Mad crazy I'm a huge revmatch motorsports fan and lifetime customer of his!!!! And I'm a huge love of purple super clean!!!!! Use in on my exhaust tips and rims
Both great products! Thanks for commenting
@@TenzaMotorsports yo brotha , question for you, I have a E39 530i with the i6 and catless headers and one vibrant resonator and dual tips with a stage 3 tune from revmatch motorsports so I'm looking to quiet my exhaust just a tiny tiny bit but looking for a good rumble sound REVMATCH recommended a glass pack like a thrush ,but what u think ???
I have the Porsche brakes on my M3 and I love them. I did the fronts and rears and it looks and feels great, car stops with no effort.
Don't waste time on the metal valve cover if you are privy to 3d printing. there are some good carbon filaments that handle heat well and don't warp. Also costs $10 and a couple hours of time.
Metal doesn't warp either. Also the valve covers comes with a new gasket and oil cap. that's around $30 and you're saying it’s $10 to do a 3D print. idk, seems like a lot of work to save $100.
@@TenzaMotorsports Idk why buy when it can be made diy. Its really not hard just scan the plastic oem and clean up the model. I've done brake coolers and air boxes.
If it’s a part that’s really expensive or something no one makes I totally get it. Like the brake cooling ducts. For sure. I need to get something like that.
Realy stupid explaination for brakes... Just said, witch model of brakes with serial number, witch adapters for calipers, wich brake disk... Put Porsche calipers and you have better brakes.. Amazing :D ahhaahha
I rewatched this to see what you are talking about. There isn’t anything wrong with what I said. If you need to know the part numbers, you can just ask without making a rude comment.
