Bryan Gonzalez amount of damage inflicted is irrelevent. Rewatch the fight. GSP won 3 of the 5 rounds. He won by a very slim margin but he did win those rounds. I agree Hendrix definitely did more damage, especially in the 2 rounds that he won but that is not how the fights are scored. Another point, if you are trying to dethrone the champ you need to win decisively. Hendrix certainly did not win decisively.

Yea draws dont make much sense. Why not do what others sports do. Have 2 overtime rounds. 5 round fight, if draw 6th is the overtime. IF somehow the 1% chance of both scoring 9-9 or w.e. do only one more round. 7 rounds and it ends in draw or someone losing.
A 6th round would only lead to 2 gassed out fighters circling or leaning/ laying on each other.
