Congratulations nam nguyen on becoming the new jeopardy champion well done
Only name I could think of was Harper Lee, and I didn't think that was right
That was my guess, too.
The wording "a novel" pushed my mind towards Harper Lee too and I ignored the rest of the clue 😂
Wow, I vaguely remember Moms Mabley being on talk shows when I was a little kid. I never knew she did serious writing.
This was like a 1992 Final! Jeopardy! Question!
I guessed Margaret Mitchell. I never heard of the person the question referenced.
Strong category for me, and I got it right
Prevent spoilers
OMG, I guessed Zora Neale Hurston for fun, and I was right! Also, my phone keeps trying to auto correct "Hurston" to "hummus". Go figure.
Can't believe I actually got it. Total guess. Just the first female Harlem Renaissance author that popped into my head. And I wasn't even sure Harlem Renaissance was the right call either.
Was gonna go with Morrison or Angelou, But they were mostly poets. And yes, I'm old enough to remember Moms Mabley along with comedian Pigmeat Markham. If I remember, they both appeared on Laugh in. Pioneers in the black stand up comedy genre.
I'm very familiar with Moms Mabley, but can't say I've ever heard of the other one you mentioned!!
Morrison was much more of a novelist, but both were born far too late to fit here
I remember Moms Mabley, but not Pigmeat Markham. What a name!
I've read the book but didn't connect her to the clue.
My guess was also Hansberry.
Tricky.
Only Moms Mabley would have known this.
Comment to prevent spoilers.
I mean, it's gotta be Virginia Woolf, no?
I got this Final Jeopardy! clue right.
Ha ha….the only person I could think of was Margaret Mitchell.
Elly would’ve made it to Final Jeopardy when she had the chance
I took a shot in the dark and guessed Zora Neale Hurston! I read her in an American Literature course.
Good 4 u!
So unfortunate Elly was unable to participate in Final Jeopardy as a result of forgetting to wear her glasses due to stress. There were lots of moments where Marko and Nam looked dominating.
No spoilers please
eye love ths wrter~ for some reason eye thought the category was brtsh wrters so my guess was radclyffe hall 😭😭 good thng eye ddnt have money on the lne lmaoo
This was an easy question. But at the same time, I get why people would get stumped.
third lol
Just once I wish 20th C Authors could indicate the question might be slightly more contemporary!! How about someone after 1980!!
Boo hoo.
Zora Neale Hurston, nam Nguyen is a jeopardy champion. Congratulations 🎉
Why do I feel like everyone thought it was pointless to have the podiums be together? Wait a minute what am I saying? Of course there’s a point, I hope they bring the podiums back to normal since season 36 next season. Also when will Jeanne Trebek be host too?
Why would Jeanne be host?
@@BlueManIan So that way you can have someone who is the wife of Alex be host! Husband, and then wife.
The podiums went back to normal a few years ago. It looks so much better this way! Also, get some help.
@@BlueCrystalTear Why did basically nobody enjoy the players being together when the HD kicked in 2006? Did you expect them to be 6 ft apart since then? Also I don’t need help, I’m perfectly fine but just wanna know the truth of what’s taking so long, also the podiums did not go back to normal yet in nearly 4 years since season 36! They are still 6 ft apart! Do you like the social distancing? You suck if you do, hello?
@@MorganNye I repeat: The podiums ARE back to normal. And you DO need help with this unhealthy OCD. I don't care about that "social distancing" nonsense - it just looks better when the contestants each get their own podium.
