Being a veteran who served with the B-2, I can tell you that it's one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The level of technology and the level of precision it takes to operate these aircraft is truly awe-inspiring.
I have a question then, is it true that the B2 has beds, kitchen etc for crews?
i was a crew chief on B-2s from '99-'05. I was assigned to the Spirit of Alaska 0040 aka "Balls 40". 393rd Defensor Vindex 🤘
I wonder how many pilots are allowed to fly this marvel
Branch rank mos and re code
111, life expectation, 6 minutes lol.
A 15-minute video titled "A day in the life of a $2B Stealth Bomber"- proceeds to dedicate 1/3 of the video to the $2b bomber, 1/3 of the video to a ~$84m 70 year old bomber with zero stealth, and the remaining 1/3 to a $265m bomber that is somewhere in between the first two.
shut the fuck up your last name is oblique and makes you seem illiterate
Ikr nobody cares aboute b 52
Furthermore the unit cost of the B2 isn’t 2 billion. It’s about half that.
Who cares? Just watch another video about it

Perks of living under one of the loops the b-2’s take, I see these boys and their kc135 tankers almost weekly. Never ever gets old
Lucky sob.
you are also 3.6 times more likely to get some form of cancer compared to someone that lives in the country side.
It must be such an amazing sight!
I also live next to an airforce base. They fly F-22's and C130's all the time its incredible to watch!!!
Lucky bastard
Lets appreciate the maintainers that have to deal with these aircraft on a daily basis.
Just bought 2 of these. Amazing aircraft
Don’t forget to mail the warranty cards so you can get free oil change for 2 years 😂

The engineers behind these highly advanced jets are just incredible human beings.
It’s too bad they are not monetarily rewarded like they should.
Its reverse engineered alien tech
Have you heard what the head engineer of the program did?
I was lucky enough to work on the B-2's HTE design while working with the USAF. Will forever be my favorite aircraft! Thanks for the video!
They skipped out on one of the coolest features of the B1-B and that's the air to ground radar with terrain tracking. It allows the aircraft to fly super close to the ground at supersonic speeds as a show of force.
❤❤❤❤❤ definitely one of my favourite too
Wow. That is crazy. I had no idea it had that technology or would be even remotely capable of something like that. That is beyond impressive. This comment was the best part of the video for me. Lol. Seriously. Thank you. I'm surprised they would leave that out too.
Dude....OPSEC
@@JimJames113 They did this all the time in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s not a secret
Everyone has their Baby. A B1-B ground hugging Tactical Nuclear delivery device that will not come home. After you deploy? There is no Home to come back too.
Hi from 🇫🇷 France. I love this plane. Want to see more future warplanes like this
Watch out in December for the new B-21 Raider 🇺🇲
103122 Excellent Video!!!! Thanks you! I m VERY proud of the aircraft we, the USA Military, Air Force, has kept flying. It ALWAYS saddens me to learn when aircraft are permanently retired. Example the T-38 Talon is being replaced. The P-3 Orion has been retired just recently and now I learned we, the USA, is picking up the WEDGE aircraft. What? Are the E-2 Hawkeye and the AWACS really so old? One aircraft that was around that I was too young to learn much about was the The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark. Will you do a vid on that aircraft sometime, please? It and the B-1 are similar but the Aardvark was a medium range bomber, multi-roll?? Seems like that's something we needed at the time but a medium-range bomber wasn't?
Underestimated how big this machine is.
For real. First time I saw one in person I was like holy shit!! The wingspan is Isane
tbh when I saw one in person for the first time up close I was rather underwhelmed of the size. Sure the wingspan is large but the fuselage is rather skinny and not that different in size from something like a 737
Can we just admire and appreciate the B-2 and not bring in service rivalry! This video highlights AF capability. Let’s appreciate their contributions and not try to outdo each other!
"Roger That"
How many plans went to shit for Politicians?
@Christian Leo Never saw her drop a 1000 Lb JDAM.
You where crew on the other plane right.haha just joking
All about capabilities that protects our country. Show the world.
When I grow up one day, I want to become a Stealth jet engine!
Even so.. u will not know all the technologies In the jet
90s technology dominating the world
Keep up the good work everyone 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 John Quinn, Glasgow, UK
The B-52 is proven to be the best, I served around them while they were on 15 minute ground alert with nuclear weapons on board!! It has proven it's ability to adapt to any mission and will out last the B-1 and B-2, retiring at about 2040 or later. The bomber could see it's 100th birthday with the US Air Force in June of 2055!!! the first B-52B was flown to Castle Air Force Base on June 29th 1955 to begin service with the 93rd Bomb Wing as the Base commander landed the aircraft at the base in California.. I served with the 92d Bomb Wing at Fairchild Air Force Base from 1977 to 1982 as a member of the 92d Security Police Squadron!!!
This is way cooler
Yeah, but this video is about the B-2. As good as the B-52 WAS, it will never be able to do what the B-2 does. That is why they built the B-2. I think the B-52 is a great aircraft and is still important to the nation’s defense. Being stuck in the past and nostalgia is not the way to go. The B-21 will replace the B-2 because it is more advanced and capable than the B-2 AND the B-52.

The BUFF is a great airframe with a long and excellent history. The only real downsides are 1) they can't put ordinances on target until air superiority is achieved and 2) the aging of the airframe requires ever-increasing amounts of service. Like every platform, there are pros and cons.
To bomb NORTH VIETNAM EVERYDAY IN 1965~1972! THANKS FOR B52!
So strato fortress is already 68 years old and still kicking ass.
639mph, a SAMS dream! 🔥
you don't have to be into enigineering to nerd out about this plane. it's just plane cool.
Hello If you Need Asset Manager , Accounts Manager , Tax Manager So we Do Work With 100 % Secretly
Rain brought down a b2, the most expensive crash in history
It looks like something, straight out of a science fiction movie ! So Alien looking but also awesome.
Who else is here because of Cleatus? I can't be the only one that got this in my recommendation.
The B-52 has two pressurization schedules, one for combat and another for non-combat where they operate at cabin altitudes of around 8,000 feet.
Now I know. 2 schedules.
I was in aww, when I saw her fly by my neck of the woods at low levels of the Hudson valley.❤
I did Nuclear Weapons Security in the Air Force when SAC was still around and it was one of those enjoyable moments
Your personal experience irrelevant. Sorry.
@tim parr what a jackass of a response. Just say nothing at all next time fella.
Gives hope to watch these advanced weapons uploads...we might need to apply the knowledge, training and experience of these special forces very soon...
Why?

Outstanding 🇺🇸

I always wonder why the first swept wing bomber, the B-47, is never included in any of these great videos.
because they did zero research. they didn't even realize that they spent more time on the b52 than the b2 on a video titled a day in the life of a b2
Still I wonder how it's possible that no other nation has been able to master and perfect stealth technology the way the U.S. has done, even after all these years. It's truly a masterpiece of technological development.
33 degrees + USA. Figure it out
India is also developing stealth similar to this.
@@Gurp2 Yeah, and if you guys ever come out with it, the US will already be more than 20 years ahead with new tech.
@@greatBLT Right now India may not be ahead of US in technology right now but never underestimate India's potential. We have made alot of potential in our defence research and development. Look at our missiles as proof.

It's one of the best planes ever, so scary
B-52 Stratofortress, gives me 🪵, fuck yeah.
We probably have several of these in the air 24/7 but I wonder how many we have in total because these are badass bombers.
The US has 744 B52 stratofortesses. 20 B52 stealth bombers are in service.
@@benjamin3922 >> 76 B-52s are still in service.
Originally, 165 B2 were meant to be built. This number was cut down to 21 aircraft that were built and delivered. 1 of those crashed in 2008, leaving 20 B-2s in service - some of which are undergoing repairs.
The U.S. no longer has nuclear-armed aircraft on ALERT like they did during the cold war.

The BUFF is so big you can grow a 5 o'clock shadow just walking under it.
As an airman with the security police squadron I did just that, walking outside of a red line around the bomber as a close in sentry, armed to the teeth and authorized to shoot if needed, then I promoted to different patrols, entry control point and the alarm tower operator, even area supervisor from time to time. I was in the tower when President Ronald Reagan was shot, we went into full alert doing things that are classified. We were ready our motto was Peace Is Our Profession! Because our enemies knew we were ready, they never fired a shot at the United States!!!

Rose Bowl game 10 years ago. The B1 Lancer did an evening flyover with afterburners on pulled right up above the Bowl setting off car alarms.
5:04 You know it's a giant plane when it's wingspan is massively larger than the body length
But how on earth is it possible to maintain such a freaking huge army. The cost must be insane.
Isn't that John Travolta coming towards you? :-)

Airplane bealtiful!!!good Nice!
It would not be very wise to develop the B-21 without characteristics of the F-35, i.e. sensor capabilities along with self defense air to air and harm missiles.
Must feel good to have your name on a B-2
Still looks absolutely stunning and alien-esq at the same time
I love the B52! Just something about it 👌
1997, so officially an oldtimer...
Crazy!
The B-1 Lancer/Bone is a bad MoFo but the B-2 Spirit is just the coolest looking plane ever. I cant wait to see the new one this December. We will need all these if things keep going the way they are. USA

Would be wonderful if all this technology went to improving the environment instead of destroying the world
I'm glad that the military is not so stuffy and formal that they're above cool ass names. "B-52 Strato Fortress" is sick. Sounds like a Yugioh synchro monster.
This name is on 3 different bombers, the B-17 Flying Fortress, the B-29 Super Fortress and the B-52 Stratofortress because it could reach 50,000 feet in altitude.
"Stratofortress".
@@PauloPereira-jj4jv I love how they name attack helicopters after Native tribes too.
Remember the HO229? It came from that technology. No one can deny
Interesting to note the B2 is 1980s technology and the airplane is now more than 30 years old. It will would fascinating to know what kind of aircraft is being developed with modern current technology like the NGAD...
And they don’t even tell all the features and details about these bombers…
Same thing is in my mind

The “UFO” everybody was talking about years ago.
😂 same is what I thought
Great drive out to the Gang Ranch on Dog Creek Road guessing your going to come out thru Farwall Canyon.
Was the nose/"fusilage" of this aircraft inspired by a sparrow, or by the craft in the movie "Flight of the Navigator"? It has remnants of both in my opinion, but i would like to learn more about the design choices if anyone could lead me in the right direction of research. This is a very cool plane and an interesting part of aviation history.

Amazing plane, just imagine what those people who were lucky enough to fly on Concorde thought about this plane when having a 5 course meal drinking champagne, "Darn wish we could fly a bit faster flying on a Stealth, but OK, need to get in an Astronaut suit first but hey sacrifices".
Imagine seeing it fly above you and suddenly it's bomb bay doors open 😂
