2020 Porsche Macan Base Review | Is It a REAL Porsche? 🤷
My 911 was in service and Porsche was kind enough to let me borrow their 2020 / 2021 Porsche Macan base model for review. I thoroughly enjoyed my time driving this car and I think its a great all around SUV in the luxury class market BUT is it a real Porsche? Lets find out with this review!

The dash clock can be mistaken as a signifier of the Sports Chrono pkg since that’s how one used to be able to tell a number of years back. But now you’ve gotta look at the steering wheel at the 4:30 position to make sure if that particular build has SC. If so, you’ll find the drive mode selector that looks like a little wheel itself. Also..... Did you know that the ventilated seats in Porsche vehicles don’t push air through the perforated leather seating surface? They actually create the same cooling function in a more efficient way by sucking the air inward. Thats why you must be careful not to leave standing fluids on the surface, and never turn on the seat ventilation system to speed up the drying process when cleaning them, like you can do on other systems that push air outward.
Cool lifts. Are they custom made or off the shealf? I' m 5' 9 3/4" wish I can add few inches with something as nice as those are. Thanks.
I don’t think you have the sports crono package. That option usually comes with a dial on the steering wheel. That’s a clock on the centre of the dash, no large second hand is evident as with the sports crono option.

It's not lane change assist. Lane change assist is actually the blind spot monitor to let you know that there is a car in your blind spot. Lane keep assist makes a sound when you deviate from your lane to indicate you must keep in your lane.

I’ve had two Macan and they met my motoring needs perfectly. If you are thinking of getting one, do not get one with a sunroof, it is a weak point in these cars as is the transfer box.

“dealers give low models for loaners”. i recently got my 5 series serviced and they gave me a brand new m850i, which is an $115,000 vehicle, to use.

Easy. Stelvio will have terrible resale value. Also, the Stelvio has a good bit more hp and torque from the same size engine. This tells me turbo boost is higher resulting in more stress on the engine.

@@PetroHead I like your review video but the constant moving of the camera when you move your head gives me motion sickness and I had to stop watching after a few minutes. Try mounting the camera next time to give a steady view of the road. Use 2 or 3 cameras if you want to show views from different angles.

Macans are assembled by Porsche in Germany. “Those who Ain’t got that much money “ ... doesn’t apply as it’s still very expensive . Fantastic Gearbox is a Porsche , suspension modified from Audi by Porsche , Brakes are Porsche ( Italian Brembo Actually ), Body is Porsche , interior is Porsche ( all of it including the sterling wheel which is from a 911 ) , engines either modified by Porsche or Porsche engines ( like the GTS ) . So it’s not a Fake Porsche.
