Long ago on our Homer Alaska homestead my mom would roll up wet wash clothes & stuff them like fans into the toast rack for washing up all the kids who were wearing more bbq than the picnic plates! 😂

This episode is why we are so smitten with Stephanie, et al. The range of locations we are taken to is impressive, whether a garden, a chateau, or a brocante. I was going to say the same thing. That's what my Grandmother used her's for
Phillip don't let them deter you. You can also use toast rack on your desk to hold letters and postcards if you'd like. This episode was one of the most beautiful yet. I wish I could visit Davinci's home in France sometime. I did get to see where he lived in Florence though. The moving art exhibit was breathtaking. TY so much.
You all looked so lovely, and what a dinner!! The beautiful flower wreaths made me so nostalgic. Midsummer's eve is such a special festivity, and incidentally it was perfectly summed up by everyone sitting outside wrapped in blankets. As any Nordic person will confirm, despite whatever weather, it still is summer, and we WILL celebrate accordingly!

It was lovely to see Clos Luce again. Last visited in the 1980s. After the visit we went to Chateau Amboise for an open air evening spectacular performance. Any visit to the Loire Valley brings back memories. It is so wonderful that the Lalanders are visiting other chateaux and becoming closer friends with the other owners we know from other vlogs.
Ive been thinking for a while that you should start an in house boutique! You could sell Lalande branded robes, pjs, scarves, socks, candles, tote bags, aprons, cushions, tea towels, tea cups, hot water bottle covers, art prints, wrapping paper, photography ...I could go on! You could also offer the products online. I’m sure your fans would be delighted to own a little piece of the Lalande magic themselves.

Please Stephanie can we have an update on all the half finished renovations? What is happening to the chapel, the downstairs loo, did the sweet peas grow, how does the finished terrace look, Gerry apartment? When you were in lockdown so many things were started and we don’t know what happened.

Chapel restorer fell off a scaffold and was injured, so it's off for a few more months until he recovers. Gerry's apartment is on hold for now, while they work on Nati's place. The sweet peas grew, of course.
