  • This man is a treasure. Many years ago, he was sitting next to us in a restaurant when we recognized him and we did not want to disturb him. After a little while, I motioned to my camera to ask his permission for a picture. Not only did he agree, he posed for us with his wife Kelly Preston and their new baby. I told him we loved his movies and he thanked us, all the while maintaining eye contact. He recognized we felt special to meet him and he made sure we enjoyed it.

  • Given his stature as an artist, it’s refreshing how transparent and humble he seems. John seems almost shy like he really doesn’t even want to talk about himself too much. In the land of egomaniacs that is so rare and I think it does come from himHaving parents who were older who he had to be patient with and nurturing with and also his association with old Hollywood stars who younger stars probably dismissed. John was a pretty smart guy to tap into their knowledge base.

  • This interview is 20 years old. Travolta has a huge body of work since then. A favorite is Gotti. As a True Crime junkie, I've read and watched much about Gotti and Travolta nailed it right down to his last minutes on his deathbed. The movie was criticized a lot because it wasn't some other movie like Godfather, or Goodfellas, or Casino (which was nothing like the true story in the book). But even then, they said Travolta was excellent. But the movie really was good, very good.

I think I fell in love with you watching Michael and then phenomenon… I know they're not you but they just portrayed such a beautiful side that I could see you truly have. Such a fun sense of humor and orneryness... And a love for the creator. Very important. Namaste

    • same.. they used to nearly all be on youtube about like.. 10-15 years ago (the early/dark ages of KZhead), but they started getting removed, and I think that the channel (Bravo?) was very strict about keeping them down. Maybe since James Lipton has passed they'll be a little more relaxed and hopefully allow people to upload them again!

    • @@Nelekets I've noticed that in the last few days, as I've been binge watching these on KZhead, they are showing the clips when James turns your attention to the screen behind him. They used to cut that part out.

    • @@dcool2u2 After i posted, I found an "inside the actors studio" youtube channel, they are slowly uploading all the uploads little by little it seems.

      @Nelekets@Nelekets Жыл бұрын
    • @@Nelekets Yeah, I found that as well. It has a dozen or so but stated that others are not available. But I hope they will keep adding them on. James Lipton had such a way of relaxing the guests and we really got a sense of what they are really like and how they grew up and got into entertainment etc. Things that you never learned on regular late night talk shows or interviews.

  • John is so sweet, kind, and humble man. Wonderful man who loves his family so much, especially his children. John is a natural dancer and every dancing film he has been in has been beyond superb, excellence. Some of the best films I liked him in the best were Saturday Night Fever, The Generals Daughter, Urban Cowboy, Civil Action, A Love Song For Bobby Long, and Blow Out.
