  • The X-Files is probably one of the most amazing series on TV ever shown, I am simply addicted by the show.

  • David rocked the Californiacation series. Since then, finding his previous works have been so cool. Also, I didn't realize he went to such prestigious schools, well done.

  • David Duchovny has been my favorite actor since 1998. I was introduced to him by The X-Files and Red Shoe Diaries. From that point I was so amazed and intrigued by him. Plus I hear he's a great guy.

    • I agree. I think he's an underestimated actor and yet, I found this interview kind of boring and I don't know why. I was so impressed with Scarlett Johansson's interview when I really didn't expect much that now most of them are a bit blah. Having said that, I actually think they'd make a good pair in film. I think they both act so well.

    • @@martasoltys9091 David Duchovny has looked good with every actress he's ever worked with. I just hope one day he'll work with my favorite actress Sarah Paulson. That would rule!

    • @@rogerbarrett1979 I didn't mean look. I meant they'd work well together. Kind of like in Girl with the Pearl Earring her character and the painter had this connection "B/C SHE UNDERSTOOD THE WORK".

    • @@rogerbarrett1979 I always mix up Sarah Paulson with Elizabeth Perkins, which is weird b/c there's a huge age difference. Elizabeth Perkins rocked in Sharp Objects although the book traumatized me. I've not eaten pork since I read it. One little line what that stupid man does to that pig... power of words always amazes me.

  • David always says that Mulder and Scully never solved a case, but that's not true. They did solve things, but people were rarely punished because the solution was "science fiction". The solved the Pusher. Twice.

  • King of Interviewing …. RIP as for David a very clever man and this interview shows this also in his acting especially Xfiles it just rolled off his tongue . Interesting that he doesn’t believe in UFO’s as a see’er and a believer myself this is tragic because in his acting it’s so make believe but my own intelligence tells me that unless you undoubtedly experience a UFO nobody , no book , no film can make you believe .

  • Duchovny added a silent 'h' to his name. Eddie Van Blundht (Small Potatoes) HAS a silent 'h' in his name...

    @barbarabarber3167@barbarabarber31672 жыл бұрын
    • That's not quite accurate. David's fanily surname was originally spelt with the 'h' but David's father got tired of it being mispronounced. He dropped the 'h.' David's mother kept the 'h' after they divorced and David kept it too. I believe his brother doesn't use the 'h.'

  • Duchovny's interpretation that Mulder was terrible at his job is really odd, it funny as a joke, but it's non-factual if one goes by what the show tells us. While at the Violent Crimes Unit, before he chooses to "ruin" his career and re-open the x-files, he was highly regarded by most of his superiors (as seen in Young at Heart or Grotesque). In a later season, Scully defends their job at the x-files saying that despite their reputation, they have a better average of cases solved than the rest of the FBI.

    • Well, I'm sure he would have been reported to human resources for his unprofessional behavior and indifference for rules and policy. He was a great detective, but put his energy in other types of cases that are not typical for the FBI.

  • Dear David, have you met Moulder? He isn't a failure and he isn't bad at his job. Watch the very first episode. He is considered the best profiler in the FBI. He quotes that his success allowed him special freedoms to pursue interests. In almost every case whether traditionally solved or not (which is the very point of the X Files!) he is literally always right. I'm not sure what happened to you over the years Mr. Duchovny but you seem to have entirely forgotten who Moulder is.
