Hi Lulia, This video was really helpful. Thank you...and the way to talk is super clam and converstation like so it was great to listen to :)
*My most important recommendation: Look for small university cities with a high quota of foreign students (like Maastricht, Twente)! There you have a lot of contacts/student events & short distances.* In Rotterdam, Utrecht, Amsterdam, the student ratio is low, the distances are long and rooms are expensive and difficult to get.
Hello please can i ask when does the registration end please

Great video. I spent weeks, if not months, researching Dutch universities with my daughter. This video would have saved us a ton of time. Wonderful job!
Thank you for the video, it’s really reassuring! I want to study in the Netherlands as well, but especially the money and flat situation terrify me. The applying process is something I’m not really afraid of, because I’m in a very privileged position coming from Germany and having the opportunity to get the Cambridge Certificate in a project course. I didn’t know about the loan situation with the government, that seems really nice and helpful.
Nice Video, you have recapitulated almost all the points, thanks🙏🏼.
Thanks a lot for this video lol I feel like I owe you one for this it's really informative.
Many thanks Lulia for an explicit explanation of the step by step processes and requirements. Keep it up, expecting more videos.
Thank you, I will
So much good information I hadn't even considered. You're saving lives out here LOL

Hi! Do you have any tips on doing the motivation letter?
Do you remember any universities that taught data science/computer science bachelors in English? I'm from the US and would like to study in Europe (not the UK though) and I am struggling to find options outside of the Netherlands. I really like the Netherlands and will probably end up settling on it, but I would like to have more options.

Hey lulia, I have a question. Besides a degree program, is there any diploma or short course programs available in NL in the field of Information and technology?
Thanks so much for this video! In a few words, was there any big reason you didn’t choose groningen?
Hi! Actually I originally pretty much decided on Groningen and was ready to go. Until the Maastricht student secretary actually called me to ask if I made up my mind and tell me in person that the degree is much smaller so everyone knows each other better and the teachers have more time for everyone and stuff like that. I think they still try to call students from all universities like that. I kind of convinced me but I still think Groningen would be been a great choice too and the city is gorgeous! Bigger and more things to do than Maastricht even
Could you please add some official links to apply? I mean the gov links

I also want to do masters in data science from Netherlands
Oh, and how easy or hard is it to get a scholarship?
Hi! Thanks for all the info and all the time and effort you've put in to educate us dweebs, but I had a few questions. If I study for a Bachelors in data science, will I be able to find work? Did you finish a masters before working or did you find work immediately after the 3-year program? The reason I'm asking this is that I cannot afford to do a masters immediately after my bachelors, I just don't have that kind of money so I'd like to work for a few years before doing one.
Hi! Thank you! It really depends on where you're looking to work and what's available. Personally, I actually quit my data science master as I got an internship and then job offer in my first year and didn't see the point of continuing the degree, but that is of course a more unique situation maybe and I'm not saying that will work for everyone. A lot of people in the Netherlands find it normal to also get a master right after their bachelor, and a lot of jobs might ask for that; but there are always exceptions. This is my video where I explained my reasons to quit the master in more detail: kzhead.info/sun/lNNxft2SmX9tgmg/bejne.html
Hello, Could you please tell me how long it is take to finish 12 months master. I'm interested in a master in Groningen it is 12 months. . I know it is starting on September but i don't know which month is the last one. It is on June or later? Thank you

Do you offer study applied lingusitic in Radbound University?
This vid is so educative. Thanks. But I'm not an EU resident and I'm assuming things are way more difficult right?
The process is pretty much the same you just have an earlier application deadline and higher tuition fees. And after you finish uni you have a certain amount of time to find a job for your visa to still be ok I think. Look on the university website you want to apply to and they always have the info for both EU and not EU.
Not more difficult, just a lot more expensive.

Hey nice video, btw I am confused about how one gets hold off insurance, travelling cards and rental bikes? is it through university? Or any outisde source?
outside resources!
What about the Bac ?
❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Iulia! I'm in desperate need of help! I got accepted to UvA for my bachelor's program and I am confused as to how I apply for a tuition fees loan. The one you talked about in the video. I'm going to have to take it as I am on my own in the Netherlands, without my parents' financial support, and I already have a million other things to think about. I just don't understand how I should apply! I need a citizen service number (the infamous BSN?) to apply for a DigiD, but that's for student finance. Is it the same thing? Just a different name? I'm not going to be able to be in the Netherlands until August when I will permanently move, so I can't get that just yet and therefore cannot apply for the loan, but I also need to apply for the loan, otherwise I can't go to begin with. I'm just afraid that if I don't do it on time and like I apply when the course already started, I'm not going to get my tuition fee money back which would be a huge issue. Do you have a video about it? Or can you just briefly walk me through the steps? I am clearly desperate here, and it's only May. I swear this whole process is gonna be the death of me.
Hey, I’m going to move to The Netherlands next year, did you figure everything out? Also did you manage to get the loan?
@@alphapuma3332 yes I did. This was really just a desperate moment for me hahahah where I felt very overmatched with everything that needed to get done. But it’s really not as bad as I made it sound, you really just need to do some research and do things yourself.
hi, I want to take a student loan, but is it only available for EU students, I am from India and this would be a big help for me and scholarships most of them are for masters, is there no other scholarship for bachelor's. I am planning to study in Twente.
@@urvashikathuria1949 hi. As far as I know the loan is only for EU students. There’s close to no financial help for international students unfortunately:(

Hi dear. I am interested in computer science. I heard that applied science university have lower grade than normal university as it is not possible to do for example masters easily. Is it true? And how long is the pre master?
Applied science universities (in Dutch: Hogescholen or HBO's) may only issue Bachelor Degrees. However, some HBO's have agreements with a nearby university that allows them to issue Master degrees as well. Pre-masters vary from 6 months to one year.

There are some issues need to be awared for international students. 1. Netherland has rasism on renting apartment such as "Sorry no international student". Higher price apt will only be offered to International students. 2. Since international student send their living cost deposit earlier, the refund is sooooo sloooow. takes up to 4 weeks after student has bank account. 3. Surprisingly, when student got bank account, the debit card will be delivered within 2 weeks!! Whatt?? Even banks in developing countries can deliver cards in 2 days !!!. It's 21st century !! what happen that making card takes time soo loong?? They work slooow like turtle but arrogant like lion.
are the bank account managed by the university? :0
@@yuunarenata9965 yes, you transfer the money to university's bank account and later the university will work with immigration for issuing your student visa. Once you arrive in Netherlands, the immigration will give you recommendation for you making bank account. Within 2-4 weeks, the money will be returned to your bank account.

is there a limit of universities you can apply to through studylink, or can you apply to as many universities as you want?
when j applied, it allows me to apply to as many as i can. :D
If it is numerus fixus(it only accepts a limited number of students) you can apply to 2 universities.Otherwise, you can apply to as many as you want.Every uni's website specifies whether your chosen program is numerus fixus or not.
There is definitely a interest on a student loan it’s about 1% or more. Second a study loan is for a maximum of 7 years. Third: if you where born here in the Netherlands it is not so nice to have a student loan. If you graduated before 2018 your study loan is converted to a scholarship except for the college intuition loan. BUT if you started before 2018 but finished after 2018: ALL will be or stay as a loan WITH interest. BUT then 2022 the government acknowledges that the study loan system that replaced the scholarship system in 2018 is not efficient. So they changed it back to a system of scholarschip starting from school year 2023/24. AND those who where forced to take a loan with interest receive a compensation of €1000. Yess only 1 thousand and you won’t receive cash, no it will be offset against your dept. Basically if you studied in the Netherlands between 2017-2021/22 or currently studying: YOU are F**D in the A’!
Do they offer scholarships/ some sort of financial aid to international students?
each uni usually has their own scholarship program, and then there is thw goverment onem though i heard you can only get 1 ( not stackable)nof sort
yes check out DUO!
Do you think stuying arts in nether lands is viable?
what kind of arts are you interested in?
hi, im a practical nursing student in canada which is an MBO course in NL. Do you think i can transfer during my 2nd year? my bf is dutch so we just want to be together
most dutch unis don't allow that. also medical school or related majors are only in dutch here (for obvious reasons)
How Can i make a data scientist without university degree? I done my bsc in mathematics.
Hi! There's a lot of self study materials online as well I think it's definitely possible if you're motivated. Really depends on the company though if they are looking for an actual degree or just certificates you got online or a portfolio of projects you worked on.
How far in advance do you recommend moving as a first year student coming from the US?
This is what I’m wondering too!
If you already have organized your place of stay I advise to arrive one week before the introduction program starts, so you have time to visit IKEA if your room is unfurnished, buy a second-hand bike to move around, get your BSN, find out the nearest supermarkets (Aldi and Lidl are the cheapest, but Albert Heijn has a bigger choice), etcetera. If you don't have a place to stay get here at least a month earlier. Because of the housing shortage here all universities urge students to find a place to stay BEFORE arriving here.
are there any options of living on campus? do colleges offer dorms for international students?
University colleges often have dorms but the vast majority of universities dont.
hello I just wanna ask if they care about marks or they ask for high marks to be accepted ?
We have certain studies that are called 'numerus fixus' where there is a process usually containing a test and sometimes a letter of motivation. Usually they make a weighted grade average of your test result and your high school marks. All those grades are ranked highest to lowest and the, for example, the first 300 students get in
Depends on the studies. Numerus Fixus studies usually do.
