    @hallo9062@hallo906210 ай бұрын
    • And with this, it begins with her asking others to open her up and tell her they love her. Then as she progresses through the album, she realizes she can open that tunnel herself and let the light in. The beginning of her healing journey is her looking for external validation but the healing only really starts when she unsurfaced the deep and dark stuff she’s buried within (the feelings she’s been running from)

It is mostly due to the two songs before with musicians/bands playing along with Lana's voice, and also Ajayii is clearly not familiar with TG. It's like if Lana used a spell on her through the album in a way to leave her confused and mezmerised at the same time.

  • Honestly, this is the best album from 2023 and from lana EVER!! this classy style is definetely what makes her most unique. Even in born to die and in the start of the career, something which always made her very special was the use of violins, the more "classic" style put into pop and the way she uses her voice: and here, she have shown us her best; even in lyrical content which she got so poetical and personal, she talked about her family, her past and her deepest feelings. The production is extremely unique and I've never seen another artist in our century which is like Lana (and this album). It is a perfect album, there is absolutely no song i dislike on this, it is just a perfection, 10/10 or 16 out of 16 songs that i love. For all of her haters that said that she has a flat voice and very generic songs, there it is the perfect album to contradict them 😍

    @yaleatorio@yaleatorio3 ай бұрын
  • The callback to Venice Bitch as the closer of the album is brilliant, as she throughout the whole album made references to a lot of her songs, like in Candy Necklace she at the beginning says "Cinammon on my teeth" which is a callback to Cinammon Girl's first line. In Fingertips she sings "And go back to being a serene queen" which in fact, Serene Queen is a leaked song of hers! (And a really good one, I recommend it). In Paris, Texas "Summer Breeze" is a line that shows up in Violets For Roses. In Fishtail the line "Palm trees in black and white" is a reference to her song from the Lizzy Grant era "Jump" and also from Fishtail the line "Swingin' in a nightgown" Could be a reference to Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For a Woman Like Me To Have- But I Have It. In Peppers the line: "Honey on the vine" is from Nectar Of The Gods. Also in Peppers the line "I got a truck, I take it for a midnight, a midnight drive" could be referencing Bartender from NFR! And lastly, in "Let The Light In" she sings: "On this life and how we write our love song" which is a reference to her song Love Song from NFR! She also sang a bunch of lines with the exact style from different songs from her but this is already quite a long comment so that's it lol. Thank you for the reaction, I always look forward to yours when it comes to Lana :)

  • kintsugi is a metaphor of a japanese art style of creating pottery and then cracking it to pieces, but then putting it back together and most times painting the cracks with gold paint. the judah smith interlude was more of a artistic vision then a song that was meant to be enjoyed, it’s a sermon about lust and not being faithful and it’s placement right after A&W was very much intentional. fingertips was basically a spoken poem that is very personal to lana, as she sings about her family, her past suicide attempts, and more.
