i'm supposing actually you could have gone a LOT harder with those traps in the end. if you arranged 30 traps set to go off every 30 seconds, even with perfect planning, you just couldn't set up a stasis chamber in time to even get past the first one. it would cave been perfect

Hear me out: Go to multiple places near the World border and place stasis chambers set to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, and so on to 14 minutes. Do everything else the same. Then, not only would future you have to set up a horrendous amount of stasis chambers to combat it, but you would have only that small amount of time in between interruptions where you could actually go to the box and attempt the trap.
Not really necessary. Just set one stasis chamber to go off at the very start of the run before he has tome to build a new one. As long as he's more than a 15 minute journey away it doesn't matter.

I love the video! One problem with it is that everything EXCEPT for the last part was a trap. Like, they were just a few arenas with one correct one. Besides that the video was awesome! Keep up the good work!
im sure if you make a very very long and detailed trap you will eventually forget some parts of the trap and would die while trying to steal the diamond block
I think there is a way to defeat your future self. Instead of using one stasis chamber, use more. With one teleporting you every minute, giving you even less time. Still avoidable ? Then create so many of them that can't do anything between the teleportations. All past wifies would have needed was to set up a chain of events that would lock it's future for 15 minutes.
Or just make the stasis chamber also activate a chunk ban when it activates.

Here is how to make the trap unbeatable go to the world border at 30 mil blocks away from spawn put an ender pearl station chamber set to go right as the timer begins so that future wifies has no time to build another ender pearl station chamber and then put the diamond block in the middle of the world at 0 0 no way to travel 30 mil blocks in 15 mins

This is a man's battle of wits with himself and it's about as convoluted and entertaining as you'd expect.
I've watched this video 5 or 6 times now. I genuinely think this is one of your best videos
The main restraint here is time. You get as much prep time as you want in creative, but only 15 mins in the attempt. Spend forever making enough for one to go off every second of the challenge. To counter it with your own stasis chambers you'd need an hour, or if you just try to time a single chamber for the last second then you'd only have a split second before hitting that 15 min mark. Unless there's a way to prevent your own ender pearls from affecting you completely
When you die your ender pearls get deleted, but then if you die you lose, so idk
If you change your miencraft username, then the ender pearls wont affect you
@@gautamu.9708 incorrect, the ender pearls are tied to your UUID (a unique id for every minecraft player) and changing your username will not change your UUID. Logging on with a different account will though, so you could use that.
The only thing I can think of to counter it is if you were to build an end portal or nether portal to despawn the ender pearls since its technically not against the rules to build during creative and time
You could throw a pearl upwards right before you get teleported, then you get teleported, then the pearl lands and you go back

Just make a statis chamber that transport himself to a room filled with tnt minecart that immediately explode after he teleported, with elder guardian and warden
Or just teleport him to world border instantly before he can set up the travel back then repeat every 5 seconds so he cant throw up a enderpearl before he teleports because if he doas he is limited to the spawn chunks where the diamond block isnt
But you can't automatically place ender pearls, so once they're all out you can escape.

tbh I think you could've further strengthened each trap by using the multiple boxes thing mentioned in the video (many identical boxes with blue wool and only one with diamond block). This way 1) it would take a lot of time to find it unless you are REALLY lucky (so basically you would have to enter a bunch of times to re-mine every single box and since you got the 4 layer one, thats at least 36 boxes)... The reason it's such a good idea is because obviously entering so many times would cost time and to have to break so many, it's highly likely you would run out of time (since there's no limits to how many boxes you can put, it's not imaginary). Wifies, that was hands down one of the biggest reverse plot twists I've ever seen in my life. Spoilers up ahead!!! At the start of your run, I noticed the random assortment of blocks and didn't think much of it for some reason. I knew it was odd but I quickly forgot about it with other thoughts and excitement crossing my mind. Then out of nowhere when you appear in the void, I genuinely thought you were done for. I couldn't think of a single way you could get back. Even through nether travel and an elytra you wouldn't have had enough time to make it back. But then finally, the big reveal that that "random assortment of blocks" came in clutch, I was utterly mindblown! This is one of the most challenging, creative, entertaining Minecraft videos I've seen in a very long time, if not ever. Props to you man, you had us all fooled in the end.
How to win: 1) random just more then you did 2) a box that takes too long to break 3) maze you can’t remember a (high random number) times (high random number) big maze (Also what are the chances that you got the 4 room box and it’s the last one you search that haves the diamond block. Hmmm not buying it) Anyway great video it was interesting and fun to think about tricking your self
Here's an idea! when making the world, just put the diamond block in a corner of the world, right at the world border so there is no way you could reach it in time, then make the spawn of the world simply be like a 3 block high obsidian box filled to the brim with wardens so that you just simply cant get out and will probably die, while your at it, fill the box with tnt minecarts as well. if he does get out he can try to get the the world border but there is no way hes getting there in 15 minutes
awesome video, although when using the instant hotbars at the start, you could have used unobtainable enchantments for your armor and tools i.e efficiency 255 (although you probably didn't need it)

This is an amazing concept with an equally amazing execution, wow. It feels like it's impossible to make a perfect trap or a prison at that matter, because for every powerful means of protection you use, there are 10 counters for it. Just like in real life, you can't make impenetrable armor or an indestructible bunker, because destroying something human-made will always be possible.
I love your thought process behind these traps!
In saved hotbars, I saw hoppers that stored NBT data in the saved inventory. Couldn't you just put tons of shulker boxes with what you needed? It can clearly save modified items.

i have 3 trap ideas: A) make an extremely long, tedious, and randomized lock, that if broken into, or has the wrong combo, blows up the diamond block and destroys it. B)make a giant obsidian cube hundreds of blocks long with the diamond randomly placed with elder gardians sprinkjled throughout. you'd find eventually, but probably not before the timer ran out. C) make enough stasis chambers that the players gets teleported every tick of the hoppers

Spoilers for the end of the video: Seeing as stasis chambers to the void are a possibility, just make one that triggers before your future self can build one, at which point they either die because they fall to the void or they time out trying to survive, and that very much secures a tie in 15 minutes and a win in the long term because if they can't get out they will run out of elytra durability or rockets. Now, I'm aware this makes a terrible video but if the objective is to win for...present? past? idk, then this would very much be it.

Idea (assumes you dont go around the trap), a 3 wide 2 tall tunnel with a pitfall trap, you have walked far into the trap, the triggers will be in the ceiling, tripwires with watching observers, if they break the walls, more observers, activate either the tripwires or the observers and you fall into either lava or pointed drip stone, heck you could have dripstone fall and all triggers (aside from wall watching observers) be on the bottom instead Edit: remembered that elytras exist to impede pitfalls and totems work against everything, so just multiply the trap to pop all totems and mix the drops and pitfalls together so your not safe on either side

This is an amazing concept that I’ve pondered many times myself, and to see it executed is amazing, and you’re just the person I’d expect to do it. One thing I noticed though; you used world edit to randomise the diamond block placement, and you said it had to be possible to make in vanilla survival, or maybe just survival, I can’t remember what you said.

Past Wifies could have designed the stasis chambers to go off only one second in, so future Wifies wouldn't have time to build a new chamber. And then built a series more stasis chambers, each set to go off a second or so apart, so even by returning to spawn by throwing pearls wouldn't be keep future Wifies there long enough. Alternately, the stasis chambers could've just brought Wifies into End Crystal traps that shred his health and armor too fast for him to react.
My idea here would be to abuse the 15 minute time limit you have. During setup, set up a ton of stasis chambers every 10/15 seconds or so. So essentially, you can’t stasis your way out of it, because you would just be getting teleported around. To kill the future player, just set up a stasis chamber that immediately dispenses a ton of harming potions
I would argue that this doesn't really count, because all the traps are in completely different worlds. Now, if you were to make it randomize the same box with worldedit tools...

Potential strategies: 1. Explode the diamond block instantly, guaranteed draw. 2. Teleport to world border instantly, guaranteed draw. 3. Teleport to instant damage potions a few times, guaranteed win. You did okay, but you can do better.
Better solution: have a series of stasis chambers around the world that go off every 10 seconds. There would never be enough time to do anything.
