  • My friend, I am writing to you from Turkey and thank you for making such an objective video. Because in my country there is no such detail. Users who comment are half as heavy as us. I'm a 155-kilogram person and I'm a long-term gamer. Your video caught my attention especially since our physical features are very close to each other. What is your long usage review of this product , can you suggest an alternative higher quality seat ?

    @FarmerTubeGaming@FarmerTubeGaming Жыл бұрын
    • Appreciate the kind words, man! I've been struggling for years to find a comfortable "gaming" or even a good quality office chair that could hold my weight, and this is one that got almost everything right - it was just a bit too firm for my liking and the pricing is a bit high. Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep the chair, so I can't give a long-term report on it. As for alternatives, the only gaming chair that was perfect for me was the ASUS ROG Chariot, but I've recently been looking at the Noblechairs Icon (the one with a 180kg limit) and it seems like a perfect fit - I just won't spend that much money until I can actually try it in person. All of that being said, if you don't really care about how it looks and don't need a chair with wheels, then you should consider using a single-seater couch like I do - most of them are much stronger, and much more comfortable than any of these chairs.

    • I've been having a lot of trouble finding good chairs that don't break the bank. One of the best chairs I've personally tried was the ROG Chariot, but those are rare and pricey. I've been looking into getting a Noblechairs ICON with a 180kg limit, and that doesn't have those annoying "wings" on the side of the seat that dig into your thighs, but I'm still trying to get someone to let me test one.

  • Any way to keep this chair from swiveling/spinning/rotating? Currently using it for simulation games with Track IR/Track Hat type device and small rotations left or right seriously screw up my POV which is highly annoying to me. Also my feet are not on the floor because they usually are on rudder pedals so rudder input with my feet will often rotate the chair.

    @captnuggettron69420@captnuggettron694202 жыл бұрын
    • No built-in way to stop the swiveling, unfortunately, but I'm sure there are some DIY solutions out there. Maybe an alternate base that doesn't swivel and will fit the chair... I'm not sure.

  • Those racing chair pads on the sides of the seat are a real deal braker. Not being able to adjust your positioning by opening up your legs from time to time is just absolutely horrible from an ergonomical point of view. It will decrease blood flow and put a lot more strain on the back. In short, your back will start hurting earlier... Any chair with that stupid design detail automatically get a 1/5 from an ergonomical perspective.

    @pilsnerpappa@pilsnerpappa Жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, that's the biggest dealbreaker for me too right now. Most of the gaming chairs have those wings on the seat and as a big guy they dig into my thighs on most chairs. I didn't really have that problem with this chair since the base is pretty wide and there's a decent amount of padding on the wings, but yeah it's still not ideal. Currently looking into one of the Noblechairs Icon chairs without the wings.

    • @@TheTechTank -yeah, I hear you, I'm 50.... I've been a gamer since the 80'ties, starting gaming on commodore 64. And I'm big (6 foot 5). I have gamer/programmer related pain more or less everywhere, even though I have been physically active all my life. But 8h in front of a computer a day at work and then gaming in free time...... If I could travel back to say something to my young self, it would be to start thinking about ergonomics right away, and don't wait until the problems arise... Because when the problem is already there, the damage is done, you can only ease it, not cure it. That is why I comment on this matter whenever I get the chance. At least some youngster will stop and save his/her's future gamer body. Today my gaming time is restricted, not by time, but by how much strain I can put on my body sitting in a gaming position...

    • @@pilsnerpappa Appreciate the truth pill. Hitting my 30s now, and I've already had lower back issues on and off ever since highschool. A lot of it's probably gym-related from when I was starting out and didn't have proper form, then weight also undoubtedly plays a role, and I'm worried about the ergonomics of the single-seater couch I've been using while gaming/working (no idea whether it's better or worse for my back than most gaming chairs). My dad had multiple back surgeries before he even hit his 50s, and I don't want to go through that. Really need to look more seriously into a chair upgrade, probably a better, more firm bed, and a standing desk would also probably also help a lot too in general. Just sucks that most good options for good ergonomics are almost unnatainably expensive especially here in South Africa 😅

      @TheTechTank@TheTechTank Жыл бұрын
    • @@TheTechTank Yeah, the pricing is insane when it comes to ergonomically constructed chair and beds. I'm thinking of buying a chair that costs 1800$ right now, because I feel like I really need it. But I can't shake away the feeling that I´m wasting money like a rock star and that Karma will hit me tomorrow with something that will destroy my economy, and make me deeply regret that I spend 1800$ on a chair... LoL
