  • I think the thing I find more noteworthy to me about Aubrey is the aloofness, the dry wit, or the eccentricity is the sharpness. She is always watching closely and reading the situation intently. There's a palpable sense of a deep intelligence, one that gets bored with the ordinary, and can be flip to make their own fun, or just weird to see what kind of reaction she can get. A lot more is going on in her head than what is being said. My favorite kind of people are puzzles.

    • It's incredible how this show reveals how actresses (and actors, but to a lower degree) are some of the most disciplined, rock-hard willful people on earth in terms of composure, somewhere there with top athletes, special ops soldiers, regiment-level officers, and line producers. I'm saying actresses because there's so much more scrutiny on them and it shows in Hot Ones: like the episode with Natalie Portman. It's like the tales about a dude holding their hand over a burner and reciting his oaths, it's visible how they invoke their practiced poker face and answer questions while crying and snotting, with the body language of someone attending a light soiree.

But for you to have the nerve to compare them to our women and men serving for our freedom is disgusting. You sounded like you were trying to be profound, but you were not. • Aubrey is so funny, and doesn't appear to have to try. She can carry such a serious tone in the silliest circumstances... in much the same way Leslie Nielsen did in almost every role he played. 😀 She even gave a shout out to her Puerto Rican heritage. She has great range, too, with roles like Black Bear and Child's Play to Parks and Rec and any other other comedy. Her timing is wonderful, and she could easily have been a full-time stand-up comedian if she wanted. As another comment said, she could totally play a relative of Wednesday in the new series. 🙂
