True words. We have a neighbor who is a retired mechanic and avid hunter, and he takes great care and pride in helping out the whole block with repairs. Cars, water heaters, electric generators, lawn mower repair, power outages, missing roof shingles, loose stones in a walkway, whatever you need an expert pair of hands with, he's available to help. And that's brought the whole neighborhood together. Now we have one guy who does upholstery across the road, my mom is a retired nurse and dietician making meals for people, someone has a toolshed with whatever power tools you need, my dad has woodworking equipment, and another guy around the corner likes to fix watches and tinker toys. Kids take their bikes over to him and have him fix it up, and the kids reciprocate by doing yard work or shoveling snow for the neighbors in winter. It gets you thinking about the people around you when you offer to repair something for them. It builds relationships with the people that live around you. We can't lose those connections or that craftsmanship.

Hearing about this show from burnt keester on his podcast, I expected little. I waited 4 years to check it out. It really does break down the wall, and the questions are very well thought out/researched. And bonus, it’s funny as shit.

Many engineers would love to be working on sustainability projects but apparently, it's not valuable if it's not profitable.

We have a reoccurring segment on the show called “The guest compliments the question quality”
when a person that is being interviewed all their life to the point where they get tired of it, calls you a good interviewer with nice questions it must feel great
It's tradition around here to then thank the guest with a stunning amount of humility, graciousness, and modesty

Sean : I have watched 40+ episodes of "FIRST WE FEAST - HOT ONES ". The research, the dialogues, the intensity, the humour, the graphics, the cinematography are EPIC! ( I truly mean this ... ). That said, this, most assuredly is my favourite episode. It is brilliant. Kudos. Continued success. I am a FAN of these HOT sauces btw ( with exception to Da Bomb / Beyond Insanity ... no flavour ... ). I am writing from Winnipeg, MB , Canada ... love that you showcased the Thunder Bay dudes.
