  • Very informative ❤ I appreciate the clear examples and detailed explanation, my resin usually gets milky/stringy and I even heard on YT before that if it's milky it's correctly mixed and done. 😂 I have been very discouraged lately because of my last batch. Literally made it hard to come back to, ended up bendy. Way later I found out I can just coat it with resin itself and fix it but haven't got around doing it because again, so discouraged 😩 I am definitely still a beginner and glad I stumbled upon this!

    • That’s so frustrating, I’m sorry! Bad info when you’re getting started can make the process so disappointing not to mention expensive! I do really hope that you get back into resin crafting though, it’s such a fun medium to create with. If it helps, I have a whole series of videos that covers the basics of resin - safety, mixing, techniques, and projects. • What a helpful video! I have struggled with epoxy resin and UV resins for quite some time now. I've watched so many tutorials, but yours is the most helpful. So what happens when you've followed all the instructions and your resin still comes out with blemishes? These little fine line cracks I want to call them? I have ruined so many pieces and I have given up faith that I will ever try resin again. I appreciate you!

  • just take a blow torch through it lighter to the air bubbles takes it out less than 20 seconds you got clear resin don’t wait just take a torch to it Call it a day it’s safe it’s affective it works, I don’t have to put it in a mole you can use the torch after you’re done stirring take the torch do it a couple times it’s not gonna hurt anything and you’re not gonna have any air bubbles. once you transfer that into the mold you’re set.

    • Your best bet is using a long neck lighter instead of a torch. You risk ruining your moulds when you use a torch. A long neck lighter gets rid of the bubbles without harming your moulds. You could spray alcohol but that'll break the surface tension and eventually dry out your moulds. You could also use a debubbler, but they can be pricey. When it's cold, I put my resin in a warm bath for about 10 minutes and that makes a huge difference in the resin as far as less/no bubbles, and it's nice and clear. When you do the warm bath, it will take 10 minutes off your work time, so be sure to have everything you need ready to go. I hope that helps. Happy crafting 😉

  • The very first time I used this resin I miraculously did it correctly and thought I already got the hang of it but during my second time I was chatting with my roommate and didn’t realise how fast I was mixing it. It turned out so foggy and yellowish with lotssss of bubbles and I was so confused as to what went wrong this time. Also the resin dried so quickly before I could use it on my whole batch of clay pins. I was so sad😭 thanks for the information, I should watched this before trying it

  • Important point not to stir it very fast when mixing. In many video tutorials, they use an electric hand blender to mix the resin with the hardener or to mix in colors. But this makes the resin full of air.

  • Thank you for your video and suggestions. I’m new to using resin and feel like I’ve followed all instructions: 1:1 ratio, 75 degree room, low humidity, mix for 5 minutes, etc. I’ve done 3 pieces (free form bowls) and they are all still very bendy even after several days. I’ll give it more time but it seems like they should be fully cured/hard at this point. I did use alcohol ink but not overpowering amount. Any suggestions?

    • Try to pour your resin down the side of your container and then do the same with the hardener. That will create less bubbles. Then if you stir it clockwise, counter-clockwise and then in a figure 8 pattern without lifting the paddle/spoon, you'll have very few bubbles. Also, if you let it sit for 3 minutes so the bubble can rise.

  • Question, how can I ensure that the resin will be rock hard curred and not a bit tacky? I am very careful about equil measuring with a scale and tiny medicine cups. Q 2. If you use a tiny bit more hardener (part A or part B ?), will that help to get a super hard cure? Please let me know. Thank you! so much!

    @toddeby25@toddeby2510 ай бұрын
    • I always measure by volume not weight. Whenever I measure by weight it never cures properly. More hardener won’t make the resin cure harder, it will just throw your ratio off.

    • Make sure to check your measurements and ensure that you're following your resin's ratio...some are 2:1, others or 1:1, etc. Also, make sure that the piece has had enough time to cure, it can take 24 hours or more sometimes. Lastly, check the temperature int he room is it warm enough?
