  • Thanks again for taking us with you. I would be very interested to hear you talk a little bit about planning your tournaments. Where to go, how many tournaments, training weeks, go by yourself vs finding a travel buddy… did you think about going to Monastir or Turkey where they play one tournament after another?

  • Spot on with the reason for the paper instead of stamp. In 2014 my mum went to Israel for work, and they were stamping passports back then. When she tried to go to Indonesia (where she is from initially, we currently live in Australia) she had issues at customs and got interrogated due to the Israeli border stamp

  • well, interesting. I imagined Israel to be a first class nation, so it's interesting to see how their hotels and taxi drivers are... I've travelled in India and Mexico and yeah, the accomodations aren't high class (one room just had fans), but I found the people/service to be great so you don't feel like some sucker. Some haggling is expected. Obviously there are 4-star/5-star hotels in every country but I'm talking about regular traveling.

  • Yep, that's Israel for you. Lived there for over 20 years. Between the heat that you can't escape, and the prices that make no sense, It's not too bad. But I'm happy with my decision to move to live in Europe and probably never going back 😅

First of all, next time you are coming to Israel, PM me, I will make sure that you have the best experience here. Also don't ever book a place with 5 score in booking. under 8.2 with a lot of reviews is a gamble, everywhere in the world.
