if you answer back in my school you get a 15 minute lunch detention then if you answer back to that you get a 30 minute one then if you answer back to that then you get a 1 hour afterchool and you're removed and if you misbehave after that you get a 6 hour isolation.

Once I got a detention because I was in Drama and I was put into a group of class mates who where pretending to beat up me and others even though that was clearly not what we were meant to be doing. Since I was in the group I WAS IN BOTHER, though i didn't even do anything. Some teachers have real mental problems. I'm sure a similar situation has happened to other people.

Man ive got a story to tell you: When I was in year 7 I had a revision lesson for a science test, we had to complete these revision work sheets, and once we did we got a fun wordserch that had nothing to do with science. The homework was to complete the science revision sheets. The next lesson after we finished our tests, the teacher went to check if we had completed the revision sheets. But it turns out she wanted the fun word sherch that had nothing to do with science was part of the revision and half the class didn't complete it because we assumed that it was just a fun activity for the end of that lesson. And the teacher gave half the class a detention because we didn't complete a fun, nothing to do with science word sherch that she didn't even call a revision sheet.

Basically, in my school we have a thing called a parking zone where you get sent to another class, and get a forty minute detention with the head teacher. I once got one from a sub after I said “what” to them when I couldn’t hear them over the other people in the class talking, he said I had attitude and parked me. He did this to four other kids and another teacher came into the class we were sent to as so many detentions were being logged. We explained how ridiculous the teacher was and luckily we had the detention wiped.
We have this sub teacher that goes berserk after you say "what" to them instead of "pardon"

I’ve gotten two detentions. One for forgetting my different socks for PE and in RE (Religious Education) our class had to learn the definitions of 10 words in a PowerPoint , and I was studying P 1, but we were actually doing P 2. The reason I learned P 1 is cuz someone sent me that instead of P 2, and two of the four of us who studied P 1 knew at least 4 of the definitions (that was the minimum passing mark) but me and someone else didn’t know, and we got a 2/10. I got a break time detention for it even though I explained to the teacher I studied the wrong one. Apparently it was my fault for not knowing that it was a different subject.
I got an hour detention for putting a funnel on my head in science and also got a 30 min detention for eating outside. My school 100% sucks.

We had a substitute for English, there was this kid that was just smiling normally. The substitute said "your not supposed to smile in English, it's not meant to be fun" and gave him 3 detentions 💀.

Please please please do a video on dumb stuff teachers have done, I've got a pretty funny story about my old physics teacher in secondary school He was by far one of the worst teachers I've had the displeasure of being 'taught' by. It's not just one or two people who knew he was bad, pretty much everyone thought it. Commonly just scrolling through his phone during lessons, making people just copy out of a book and funniest case for me, seeing first hand, Legit just eating a bowl of cereal. In the same rooms that have a sign on the door telling people not to have food in them. I don't get why science teachers just have a reputation for being sub-par, but I get it with this guy

I got an afterschool detention in year 6 for sending a kid to the hospital accidentally while defending myself. Supposed to stay afterschool for 45 minutes, ended up being 1 hour 30 minutes because my mum couldn’t figure out a way to get me home. Luckily however the headteacher was nice enough to take me home.

I got a detention in grade 5 for saying the words 'Red light'. Since this was in 2021, and squid game was a big thing, the school had banned the game Red light green light because people got shot in the show, and the phrase was banned too. I was telling my friend that I saw someone run a red light the other day, and he looked over my head in fear. I turned around and the teacher was right there. She gave me 3 hours of after school detention. Bullshit.
My friend and I got detentions. I accidentally knocked my finger on the table leg that I didn’t realise was broken, cut my finger open and it was bleeding a shut tonne. I was sick when my class started a new topic. We had a sub who didn’t know this & gave me a warning for getting a question wrong that was based on the new topic, after that he had it in for me by picking on me all the time, putting me on the spot & causing me to get more answers wrong due to high pressure & anxiety. He also would not pick me to answer questions I actually knew, & didn’t teach me about the questions I got wrong. I’m just so glad he doesn’t work as a sub in our school anymore
In year 7 I got a half hour detention due to not doing the work “the way my teacher wanted me to” because I didn’t write it word for word and I’m still pissed off about it 😂

Once, my friend was in an IT class, and another person was doing a really weird morse code system a.k.a. the DA DA DIT system, and my friend laughed because the code was really weird and the teacher then said. "Right. Lunchtime detention." That was just for laughing.

I only ever got three detentions and they weren't even my fault. The first one was in Year 8, just before the COVID lockdown our head of year gave the whole year a detention because "we were all talking", not that I was. The second time also happened to be in Year 8, was when our Geography teacher gave the class a detention because were were giving the trainee teacher a really bad time, or something like that. The third time, was with the same Geography teacher in Year 10, when were doing fieldwork writeup and I said that this work was S H I T. But I didn't actually say as shit, I just spelled it out, hoping that I wouldn't get any consequences. I did. But the only reason I got a detention was because she gave other students in the class a detention. I am so glad I do not have that teacher anymore.
Once I got a class detention because TWO people were talking continuously during registration. We all had to come back at lunch, but my friend and I were 5 minutes late because of a club. We were told to come back the next day with two other people who were late. So unfair

So basically me and my friend were sitting on the grass and talking so then a teacher comes and tells me off for apparently knotting girls in ropes which I didn’t do and everyone else, who was told off for doing it they kept saying it weren’t me and the teacher did not believe them! but I had to have a lunch time detention with all the kids who did it.
Once I got in trouble for saying “Damn”in Primary school but then we got to sing “hot damn “ in the school production.

We used the calculators once for a calculation you could do in your head 2. Like 3 other people got let off with it even though that was like their 3rd time not having equipment

Got my first detention in year 8 because I accidentally grabbed my PE bag instead of my food ingredients. Was still able to participate in the lesson because a girl split her ingredients with me. Usually everyone got like 3 chances, and this was my first time forgetting my ingredients. Got my second detention because the teacher set homework on that "Show My Homework" app some schools used, at like 10pm, due the next morning. No one in the class did it because no one saw it had been set. The teacher gave the whole class a lunch time detention.

when i was in y7 we had this new teacher, no one liked him and he really diddnt know how to teach. one time our class was missbehaving so when the bell rang he told us all to stay in our seats, he got up, walked to the door, left the room and locked the door. we all remained sat down thinking it was just a joke but he had walked away, about half an hour passed and still he diddnt come back. some kids started crys. others tried to call their parents and the school but no on e had service. it got to 5th period baring in mind that we had been locked in since 3rd period. the finnal bell rang for school and obviously we where still there . eventually we saw like 20 cars pulling into the car park (we where in the classroom above reception and looking over the car park) soon there was a bunch of parents and teachers at the door. we never saw that teacher again. btw this rlly happened to me
Only class detentions in which I usually got let out anyway. Some teachers were dragons though. One class detention was in year 7 in Geogrsphy because we had no idea where the room was as for some reason that humanities department was the complete opposite side of the school rather than the rest of thr department. The room was inbeteween Science and IT/Hall intersection. And below Maths. Rest of humanities was otherside of the hall with also able to get through playground near science block.

One time back in my ye olde primary school days (think it was year 4 or 5) and we were told to play “T ball” in sport. Now the thing about T ball was you hit the ball with the bat, drop the bat and run. But here was me with undiagnosed ADHD with poor sense of control: I hit the ball, and let go of the bat while the bat was still moving. I had no flaming clue what I had done wrong when that muppet of a deputy principal sent me to the front office and gave me detention for simply trying to play the game like everyone else!
