He made all on comers look silly on their best day, and whipped them aswell. Love the closing statement, "they could'nt make it in my era, not mentaly strong" How he is dead right on that. Them "killers of the 80s and 90s" were seassoned pros/killers. Plus they fought for legacy not money, GREAT FUCKEN FIGHTERS..

  • Lights out is the best of our generation at it.The fight with Iran Barkley was 1 of the greatest exhibitions of boxing I’ve seen in my lifetime.THAT BEING SAID I am from Philly, born and raised, and growing up in Philly EVERYBODY IN PHILLY KNEW HOW TO SHELL AND SHOULDER ROLE.From the little kids playing on the corner to the old heads reminiscing about the good old days.He’s right about the sparring also.Even as a kid we slap boxed all the time and body shot were always included.If we had a real dispute somebody would good get the gloves we’d hit the basketball court and box it out,shake hands and on to the next 1.Philly is a fight town and nobody wanted to be known as the dancer who backed up too much,he would be considered a runner.I had wars slap boxing,with the gloves,and real street fights.Without the old school trainers that era is unfortunately fading.There are still a few left in Philly but the boxing gym is not as big as it used to be in our communities...

    @67thbully@67thbully4 жыл бұрын
  • Love it, asks about learning shoulder roll & Toney says sparring, not the bag. He then asks, “so, start with some light sparring in case you get caught?”, & Toney just looks at him shaking his head NO! Toney doesn’t know the meaning of “light” sparring, lol. That’s a contradiction in terms to him.
