If the electoral college elects Trump, they need to be investigated and held accountable.
Worthy sentiment, but the Electoral college is one of the few examples of a election-deciding body of which none of the members have any responsibility for the result. The only way to end the farce of the Electoral College is to get rid of it and simply award the Presidency to the candidate who gets the most votes. That supposes that the simple basic principle of democracy, being "one qualified person gets one vote, and biggest number of votes designates the winner" is applied. As the Presidential Election is a national matter the accounting should be national It's not complicated... To make things sane only one release of voting results should be made, and only when all the votes have been counted and brought together. If that takes time so be it. As 2020 showed you, if you were paying attention, the way it was all foreseen and planned all so very long ago simply is not fit for purpose for 21st Century democratic USA. It actually favours people who wish to destroy democracy. My 5 zebra finches run a better, more apposite, democracy than yours... It's like the way people favouring the murder of schoolchildren and their teachers selectively read the Second Amendment and too many other people just shrug their shoulders.
