@@htkenan personally went from DA v3 pro > ec2-cw > outset ax, shape wise the outset is easily the best among the 3 for my hands.
I ended up ordering both EC2-CW and OUTSET and settled on the OUTSET by far. Returned the EC2. Thanks!@@catart2633

Ive been maining the dav3 with 4k dongle and love it but its not the endgame for me. Something is slightly off in it for me so have been looking for a change. I have been going back and forth between the Thorn and AX but then Maxgaming got the fnatic x thorn in with a 4k dongle for €110 while the AX with no dongle was €140. Had to get the thorn
Having just recently purchased and been able to use the Thorn, I agree with you 100% on the shape. The Thorn just feels so natural to hold. However, the wired Outset AX is still one of my favorite mice and will stay in my collection for those times when I want to tilt-grip.
Disagree on the shape, as someone who does naturally tilt grip the outset ax shape is way better
You absolutely killed it with the comparison at 3:35 This was my exact experience and the reason Thorn was a much better fit.

Great review and keep up the great work. My choice of gear is weird and I had been using the Keychron M3 for the pass few months. Its not the best or famous mouse but it covers all my needs. The Lamzu is eye-catching but cost 200 more than my Keychron where I'm from😂

hay i know ur a g403/g703 fan. so i just wanna ask since u know how light and snappy the clicks are on the g403 prodigy (hero v1 braided) not the newer logitech clicks post 2022. but how does the clicks on the vaxee compare to the OG logitech g403 clicks? coz i really love it light and snappy but logitech have moved away from that. also how does the vaxee ergo shape compare to g403?

Just bought a thorn about a month ago to replace my dav3, but was very close to going with the outset. Its great to see the ergo crowd finally getting some options that arent IE 3.0/EC clones.
What made you pick thorn. I’m torn between Outset and Thorn to replace my Dav3. Just way too big and I need a bit more support on the right of the back of the mouse in my palm. I’m also torn on getting NP-01s. I want an in between of Viper V2 Pro and GPX. Viper size alright but bit to short and GPX2 a bit to high 😤😒🤣
@@darth_cheezus Ultimately the significant weight difference is what swung me towards the thorn. I also found the dav3 pro to be a bit too big, which was my main motivation for seeking a new mouse. The hump on the thorn is more centered(the slope to the right isnt as significant), and it is further back on the mouse so if youre looking for more support towards your palm the thorn will definitely deliver it. never used any ambis

I love Vaxee’s mice from a build quality standpoint and their shapes are good too, but for me the Outset with its raised back hump feels too tall in my hand to be comfortable for relaxed fingertip grip and it just kinda hurts my hand after awhile. What I’d really love is an official EC1.5 / EC2L since the EC2 shape is awesome imo but a bit too small while the EC1 is just enormous. Vaxee is basically the one company I’d trust to make their own EC clone and probably have it be as good if not better in some ways than the actual EC mice, but so far they’ve refrained from cloning it.
Not really bleeding edge technology, but your review seems show this mouse is more refined, and very consistent to use. Something for those top tier players demand. They not really into specs, but actual performance. Its more like Zowie's approach (ironically) but Vaxee has more on development, lesser on the gimmick. I think Vaxee mice is for Zowie's fan but refuse to pay $150 for 2019 spec mouse on 2023.
at the same weight as the EC2... I'd honestly go with the Thorn for the weight reduction or just buy an EC2...

The wired Outset AX is the best mouse I've ever used.

NO. they sell separate receivers if you have a 2 PC setup and want to use the same mouse for both and don't want to swap dongles.

Really would like a ldat or the xlat final mouse latency testing for these mouses.
You can use the NP01s as a proxy (Vaxee's penultimate release), the wireless tech will essentially be unchanged. Click latency at 2ms debounce is approx. 3ms measured with an LDAT. Vaxee has announced they are also working on lowering this in the future with a firmware update.

i think they're going to move away from them based on the maya having mechanical switches now

the x2h mini is my mouse of the year. i really can't find much to complain about and thus i found out it's me. i am actually the one that sucks at aim😂
bro I've owned so many mice and the x2h mini performs the best for me but now i just recently got the outset and its just as good such a dilemma to have. :/
@@r2bot i am saving for the finalmouse lol, but quite frankly i don't think i need anything better than the x2h... at least for now. i put some tiger ice v2 skates on it and use it with an equate plus v2, which i find based alone for glide and the 50x50 size.
Only thing I dislike about the X2h are the clicks but I agree with the mouse is sweet
Mine should arrive today. I ordered X2H mini - its got the hump just like zygen NP-01 which I like and is much lighter. I thought Outset AX would be perfect because I have tilted grip, but nah, did not click with me.
@@r2bot i just compared them to my v2 pro. the v2pro clicks are a bit harder to activate and feel snappier, but they aren't that different. it's the same optical switch i believe? anyway, after the dilemma with the mechanical switches in the xlite, i am happy i can set them to 0 debounce without any issues. what i noticed is that i can slam click them, but that never happened ingame so far. not even in hard scenarios in kovaaks or aimlabs.
