I’ve never celebrated the anniversary of my engagement. That’s too much. I celebrate the anniversary of my marriage. My fiancé proposed on my birthday and I personally feel like it was the best decision he could have done! Leading up to my birthday I knew he was planning something for my birthday but I didn’t know what it was until I came home to a surprise birthday party. Later that night, he proposed in-front of all my closest family & friends with a music group playing our song. I was in tears and completely surprised since I thought my surprise was my birthday party. That was the best part for me. Having no clue that it was going to happen and all of the effort he put into making it so special. The best memory.
My husband chose our wedding day as July 4 so it was easier for him to remember our anniversary every year. We are Canadian.
